I think these kids are nuts!

Just got an email from my youngest brother informing me that I will need to go by his place a few times over the weekend to feed, water and let his dogs out, get the mail, that kind of stuff, because he and his wife are off to Myrtle Beach South Carolina. He just got a bug up his butt, went online to www.48hourteetimes.com, which he had read some where online about how they offer 48 hour tee times in the Myrtle Beach area and he booked a long 4 day weekend.

He and his wife used to play a lot of golf before he was involved in that awful car accident and totally messed up his back. It has been a slow road for him to get to where he is today four years later. He still needs some surgery done in the near future, but he is doing his therapy, following doctor’s orders, exercising and has lost a good amount of weight, which is good for his diabetes along with his bad back. Anyway he is starting to play golf again this past year and apparently found a sweat deal on some tee times on the Internet and he is off and running.

Hope the weather is good for their trip. Bad weather can ruin the best planned vacations, but it wouldn’t be the first time they played a game of golf in the rain. As long as it doesn’t involve lightening and the wind doesn’t kick up a nice shower can be a pleasant experience on the golf course.

Back in the 80’s the Roller Derby was a hot ticket but it faded out shortly after Disco left the scene. I used to enjoy watching the sport from time to time and am pleased to see that it is making a come back. I was looking for a particular video on YouTube.com that I never did find, but I did find this video and found it interesting enough to post it here.

Teri and I have been talking about taking a long weekend and having a nice romantic getaway at one of the Myrtle Beach Resorts next month.  We’ve both been very busy with work the past few months and we sure could some time away together!  I’d like to reserve a condo at an Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Resort near a golf course so that one of the days we could play a round of golf. 

Ever since Teri’s mother gave her a nice set of women’s golf clubs Teri has been enthusiastic about playing some golf with me.   I’ve been promising Teri that we’d take a lesson from a pro while we’re at the Myrtle Beach Resort.  I think that adding to the day of golf we could take in a couple of shows and spend some time relaxing on the beach.

There are so many different Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Resorts to pick from, I’m sure that it will take Teri a few days to pick out which one she wants to go to!

Come to think of it, I think we’ll need to take a little bit longer than a long weekend!  Maybe we’d better plan on five days there instead of three.  That way we can get in a couple of more shows and really enjoy ourselves!  We deserve the break!

I find it very interesting how many people enjoy playing golf.  I’ve tried it a few times, and I have to admit that it is a lot more difficult than it looks!  I found it frustrating – that little white ball never went where it was supposed to go!  My father has invited me to join him on several of his Myrtle Beach Golf Vacations over the past few years, and so far I’ve never gone with him.  He loves to Golf Myrtle Beach more than any other vacation. 

Teri has suggested that I think about going with him next time – even though I’m not a good player.  She said that there are a lot of good Myrtle Beach Golf Packages that we can take advantage of, and she has reminded me that my father is getting on in years – this may be one of the last Myrtle Beach Golf vacations he may be able to enjoy.  And you really can’t blame him for wanting to take his son with him; playing golf together is a good chance to spend time with each other.  So I think maybe the next time I’ll agree to go with him and make the old guy happy.
