Teri and I have been talking about taking a long weekend and having a nice romantic getaway at one of the Myrtle Beach Resorts next month.  We’ve both been very busy with work the past few months and we sure could some time away together!  I’d like to reserve a condo at an Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Resort near a golf course so that one of the days we could play a round of golf. 

Ever since Teri’s mother gave her a nice set of women’s golf clubs Teri has been enthusiastic about playing some golf with me.   I’ve been promising Teri that we’d take a lesson from a pro while we’re at the Myrtle Beach Resort.  I think that adding to the day of golf we could take in a couple of shows and spend some time relaxing on the beach.

There are so many different Oceanfront Myrtle Beach Resorts to pick from, I’m sure that it will take Teri a few days to pick out which one she wants to go to!

Come to think of it, I think we’ll need to take a little bit longer than a long weekend!  Maybe we’d better plan on five days there instead of three.  That way we can get in a couple of more shows and really enjoy ourselves!  We deserve the break!

I find it very interesting how many people enjoy playing golf.  I’ve tried it a few times, and I have to admit that it is a lot more difficult than it looks!  I found it frustrating – that little white ball never went where it was supposed to go!  My father has invited me to join him on several of his Myrtle Beach Golf Vacations over the past few years, and so far I’ve never gone with him.  He loves to Golf Myrtle Beach more than any other vacation. 

Teri has suggested that I think about going with him next time – even though I’m not a good player.  She said that there are a lot of good Myrtle Beach Golf Packages that we can take advantage of, and she has reminded me that my father is getting on in years – this may be one of the last Myrtle Beach Golf vacations he may be able to enjoy.  And you really can’t blame him for wanting to take his son with him; playing golf together is a good chance to spend time with each other.  So I think maybe the next time I’ll agree to go with him and make the old guy happy.

I was really surprised to read about the exploitation of Erin Andrews recently. In case you’ve been hiding under your bedsheets, you’ve probably heard about how the beautiful sportscaster Erin Andrews of ESPN was violated recently by a sleazebag videotaping her standing in front of the hotel room mirror, curling her hair. Unfortunately for Erin, she was nude at the time. And of course, the videotape found its way onto the Internet, which is really sad. I hope they catch the guy and toss his butt in jail. In the meantime, everyone should take some masking tape with them when they travel and put over the peephole when they aren’t using it themselves! It would be good if the hotels put some sliding door over it for the occupants to use, but until then, masking tape should work just fine.

One of my best friends, Jack, is a huge sports fan. He has a great “man’s room” in his house – with a big screen television, a wet bar, and great reclining seats for us to relax in when we go over. He has a lot of sports trophies lining the walls – he played a lot of sports in high school and college, and he loves to show them off!

It seems that almost every time I talk to him, he is excitedly bragging to me about how he has scored some great tickets to one game or another and he is always inviting Teri and I to join him and his wife Kate to go to the games with them.  I never know when he is going to score great Yankee Stadium Tickets, or Fenway Park Tickets, or even Wrigley Field Tickets.  He sure seems to know how and when to get great deals on them all!  I think it’s great to love sports, and I think that he’s lucky to find such great deals all of the time!

I’m constantly impressed by how many ways the Internet can be used to make life more fun, and more convenient.  You can get all of the research you need to write term papers, get all of the medical information you could possibly ask for about medical conditions and treatments, and get directions from practically anywhere to anywhere.  You can find out what movies are playing at your local theatre, find a television schedule guide, and get great recipes.  You can make travel reservations around the globe, from airline or plane or bus tickets, to motel rooms, to rental cars.
