business 2.0

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

There is much to be said about business 2.0 - but I am just going to point out to my fellow bloggers that business 2.0 has seriously evolved lately. It amazes me how quick and easy it is to get a few people in a chat room and on web cam in an impromptu meeting. Business is definitely moving faster today than it was just 5 years ago.

I have found that using collaboration tools like google docs and skype, we have saved a ton of time and a bunch of money that would have been spent on traveling and xeroxing. I can’t wait to get holographic meetings like you see in star wars, supposedly this is kind of what second life is like - with 3d avatars instead of holographic images.

Took a peek at the new wordpress 2.5

Monday, March 31st, 2008

It was pretty, I must say that I really like the new wordpress 2.5.

I only got to spend a few minutes with it, but the layout is nice, and I love the new full screen post view. It’s also got built in video and audio upload capability, and it can now upload multiple pictures at once and create thumbnail galleries fast.

I think they have a real hit on their hands with this version. I would perhaps have included a button to return to the classic admin view, if only temporary for finding some things that are in different places, but all in all with this version of worpdress you can see why the whole thing was such a good investment from so many people. Thanks guys (and girls!).
