VH1 has come out with an interesting show “Mob Wives” that I’ve been watching when I have the time. It is only up to Episode 4 right now, so it is just now really catching my full attention. This four woman that they are following around and filming are quite an entertaining group of some of the hard core mob members in the Stanton Island area in the beautiful state of N.Y. I love the accents and the phrases that come out of these women’s mouths, and the one they call Drita is one nice looking broad and she definitely rules the roost.
So there is something about this Reality Show that has drawn me into watching it and actually paying attention to it, which is always the case with many shows that end up on my nice 42″ Flat Screen TV. I wish that I had bought this particular TV years ago. What a difference!

Morning TV
Filed under: Business and Office, Entertainment and Fun, Friends and/or Family, News, Politics, technology;Comments OffI generally don’t have the time or the opportunity to watch the early morning talk/news programs that are always at each other’s heals, nipping and sometimes biting for the morning “ratings” that are so critical for these types of shows. But on occasion I have had the pleasure to watch an entire four hour program. But I do catches moments here and there and have recorded some of them to watch later when I could spend the time dealing with all that goes along with that chore.
Anyway, The Today Show just announced that Meredith Vierra is leaving the morning crew on NBC. It seems like she just got there, I mean really, man how time is flying by these past couple of years. I remember when Katie Couric left the show, you know I still haven’t seen Katie Couric since that fateful day that she said good-bye and walked out the NBC door and waltzed into the CBS doors. One day Matt Lauer will be leaving, but he insists that that will not happen any time soon, but we shall see won’t we.

Most of us are not seeing any improvement, what-so-ever in the economic crisis that has so many of us in a world of trouble in so many ways. Most of the hiring freezes are still holding strong, making it extremely difficult for folks to find gainful employment in the fields that they have become accustomed to, went to school for and enjoyed for most of our lives. People are turning to furthering their education, spending what little money that they have to pay for this education that we have been told is necessary to get the jobs that we’ve been told are available for those that are qualified for. Only to find that all that time and money was wasted because they still can’t find employment for what they just went back to school for. I would be plenty ticked off if that were to happen to me, I can tell you that.
There are positions available, I’ve been told, in many of the nonprofit jobs. I remember when I thought that non profit jobs meant that you worked and you didn’t make a profit from it, only the company! It sounds silly, I know, but it’s true just the same. I just didn’t understand why they labeled these nonprofit career opportunities the way that they did.

I really don’t follow a whole lot of politics. I don’t even watch the evening news anymore since they quite airing any good or hopeful stories or headlines. If I really need to know about something I can usually easily find it on my laptop when I can or want to. Today’s headline is all about our Federal Government not having to shut down with a last minute decision that billions of people are very happy with, at least for the time being. What a bunch of stress and drama our government has once again provided with us at a time when we are overflowing with enough stress and drama as it is.

Gold is the Ultimate Asset
Filed under: Computers and/or Internet, Education, Entertainment and Fun, Investing, Money, Politics, technology;Comments OffGold Coins Gain is a very well designed, easy to use and understand web site about a very hot topic these days, gold and the price of gold. It seems every where you turn there are people and places wanting to buy your gold, all the while stating that their gold prices are top dollar, best anywhere!
Gold has a long and interesting history, which you can read there. It only takes a few minutes, depending of course on how fast of a reader your are, and it is a fascinating History of Gold Coins that I certainly learned a lot for my time. I’ve never been into collecting coins, although I know a lot of folks that do that enjoy showing the off to someone that will care to sit, look and listen for however long you can stand it!
This site has just about anything you need to know about the day’s gold price along with good related issues and articles galore. Of course there are pages and pages and pages of coins listed and offered for sale, which would make any collector excited to see and learn about, possibly even purchase now and then. Just thought I’d pass along a good thing for the day.
