I was interested in finding a place to take my used and unwanted rechargeable batteries and found a link to call2recycle.org which is a great site to utilize for just that purpose. You just type your zip code in and it shows you you the various places for their drop off locations that you can not only take those batteries but your old cell phones as well which is good to know.

If Terri and I ever get it together enough to walk down the aisle and say our marriage vows in front of friends and family we will definitely make sure that we buy tungsten or titanium rings for the occasion. Both of us have issues with the majority of jewelry, there is nothing worse than having your body parts turn green after wearing jewelry for just a few short hours, so we have to be very picky about what we purchase in jewelry. Titanium and tungsten rings are a good choice for folks that have the same reaction and since during a wedding you vow to stay with your spouse for the rest of your life, it would be nice to have rings that we could wear for the rest of our lives as well.

I’m in no hurry to get hitched, mind you. But Terri has been dropping hints for all most a year now and I’m not sure how much longer I can avoid the issue. We have been a “couple” for over 8 years now so I don’t know what the sudden change of heart is all about with her. Neither one of us has been married before and both of us agreed that marriage wasn’t going to be in the “big picture” but leave it to a woman to change her mind, right.

Did you know that anyone can go to Freeforeclosureblog.com and find all kinds interesting and free information on Real Estate Owned Foreclosures or REO Foreclosures as they are referred to these days. There are so many losing their homes due to foreclosures and many other people taking advantage of the low prices that these lost homes are selling for and buying them up and turning them over for major profits. Sites like this one helps folks with Free Foreclosures and all that goes along with this process.

So with that said if you are looking for Free REO foreclosures or know someone who is looking, I would certainly recommend taking a look at what this site has to offer, for free mind you. It doesn’t look like the economy is going to turn around any time soon and now is the time to buy. I hate the fact that people are profiting from other people’s loses in these extremely hard times, but I guess that has become “The American Way” chasing that all mighty $$$.

Even though the school year just recently started many students and their parents are looking for grants and financial aid information  to get them through the year as well as getting a jump on next years tuitions, many for first time college kids. Back in my day you basically could only  turn  to your High School Guidance Counselor to find the information that we all can now find on the World Web Wide, a good amount of it for free. You can find grants for engineers, aviation, criminal justice, health care, education and all of the other occupations/professions that necessitate a college degree in order to land the job of your choice and study in today’s high tech world.

My 17 year old niece (My kid sister’s daughter) is all ready looking for some physical therapy student grants to start checking into for when she enters her first year at the local community college in 2012. So I’ve been doing some looking around myself and have been amazed at all of the help that there is out there with this task. Schoolscholarships.org is a good one that I’m sending her and her mom the link to tonight. She is a good kid and I’m very confident in that she will work hard in school and eventually make one heck of physical therapist that will do so much good for so many people in so many ways. Just like her mother has.

Had an interesting conversation with a neighbor yesterday evening. It seems that our neighborhood Middle School, in which he is a teacher at, is in deep financial trouble and there is a big push to get the funds needed to buy some of the new equipment that is really needed for out kids that are attending this Middle School. Some things that are needed are some new classroom audio systems, and we all know how important classroom amplification is with today’s loud and often unruly kids, especially kids that are in the preteen stage.

Our concerned neighbor is going from door to door talking with folks urging them to save and send in as many of the Box Tops for Education labels that are found on so many food and paper products these days. The school will receive 10 cents per label and that can really add up if enough people take the time and effort to participate. He also is giving us warning that there will be a lot of door to door fundraising events being held and really wants as many people to purchase these items this year as well.

So in an effort to help out this serious situation and this school’s need for new and improved classroom audio products Teri and I will do our best to start looking and clipping these much needed and much valued Box Tops for Education labels and will welcome anyone going to door to door in the neighborhood with any other fundraising attempts.
