    Teri and I travel a lot, and it’s difficult to always eat healthy on the road.  That’s why we were so glad to find out about a health-related website that discusses how healthy vegetables and fruits are, and how we can incorporate them into our lives. The website is a good resource to use to help us learn about phytonutrients; what they are, where they are, and why they are important to a healthy diet.

    The website offers some healthy and delicious sounding recipes that Teri and I want to try out, such as Warm Wedding soup and Ruby Reds, Feta, & Watermelon salad.  They also have a great sounding tomato soup that I want to try out.  I love tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich - that is one of my all-time favorite comfort foods!

    Leftovers

    Filed under: Food, General Life;

    Can you imagine looking into your refrigerator to find something to eat, and it is crammed so full that you can hardly move anything around, and yet you find nothing that you want to eat?  Me neither, but that is what seems to be happening to me today!  We have so many leftovers from Christmas that I’ve already had a couple of times that I really don’t want to eat them again.  And yet, I don’t want to throw away good food, either!  What a dilemma!  Don’t get me wrong, the food is great, I just need a little change.  I would tell Teri to tuck the food into the freezer, but I looked in there and it is jammed full too!  What a dilemma, so much food, but none of it is what I want to eat!  Oh, wait a minute, I just remembered seeing some nacho chips, and some salsa and some shredded cheese    Nachos, here I come!

    Seiko Watches make a great affordable gift for that “special person” for those of us who are on a budget this Christmas.  They are one of the best known brands of watches, known for their style and dependability.  Seiko has been making watches for over one hundred years!

    I want to buy Teri a Seiko SXJT08 Ladies Gold Tone Dress Watch for Christmas.  She recently lost her dress watch when we went out to a formal dinner that her company put on.  She was quite upset about it, we went back to the site where the dinner had been held to look for it, and it was nowhere to be found.  I think that if I give her this watch as a Christmas gift to replace it, she will be thrilled.  These watches retail for $245.00 but I found that I can buy it for only $98 through the bluedial.com website.  This company sells thousands of different brands, styles, sizes of watches at great prices, and they are offering free shipping second day on all of their watches for the Christmas Holiday season.  Their website claims that all of their watches are in stock and if you order by 2pm on December 23, they are guaranteeing delivery in time for Christmas.

    This February 14th is my grandparent’s fiftieth wedding anniversary! I cannot even imagine being married to the same person for that long, can you? Of course the entire family is going to be holding a big anniversary party for them, we’ve already arranged to rent a large hall to accommodate a large number of friends and family members to come and celebrate with them (and us!)

    We plan to all chip in and buy them a new wide screen television for a big anniversary gift. The television they’ve been watching is very old and has a small screen. We figure that they can move that television to their guest bedroom if they want to keep it.  We are going to order a beautiful large cake that looks like the wedding cake that they had for their original wedding (we found a picture of it!)

    Naturally we are going to order some custom anniversary party invitations. Teri and I have been put in charge of ordering them. Teri likes the party invitations that she found at the storkie.com website.  They have a large selection of customizable cards for a wide variety of occasions, holiday cards, retirement cards, graduation cards, baby announcement, religious occasion (like baptisms and bar mitzvahs) and they are all very reasonably priced.  So I will take a look at the ones Teri likes and we’ll narrow it down to one or two and then run it by my folks.  This is a very exciting occasion!
