Video Games, The Classics
Filed under: Entertainment and Fun, Friends and/or Family, Money, technology; Tagged as: classic, entertainment, games, videoComments OffCDEarth is offering some of the classic video games that we all started out with years ago. If only I had every quarter that I stuck into the slots trying to beat Asteroids and Pac-Mac, just to think of them all going from our pockets into the vendors pockets, clink clink clink. We certainly never thought that in the near future that we would be able to sit down at home and with a few key strokes on a keyboard play these games that we could only play at bars, Chuckie Cheese and a few other places here and there back in the 80′s.
I remember my sister was dating a guy who was the manager at the local Chuckie Cheese, he would invite her and her 3 young sons to come to the place and he would give the kids unlimited tokens to keep them entertained while he courted my sister. I went along one time, being a good sport, and all, and we all really had a blast, eating free pizza, drinking free drinks and cups and cups overflowing with tokens. That was about as close to heaven as those kids could be at that time. Those are good memories to remember now,. I’ll have to ask my sister if she remembers, next time we chat.

Steak Sandwiches
Filed under: Computers and/or Internet, Entertainment and Fun, food, Friends and/or Family, General Life; Tagged as: food, recipesComments OffI love cheese steak sandwiches. I’ve loved them ever since I was a teenager in high school. My friends and I used to go down to the local Mario’s Pizzeria and order cheese steak sandwiches and fries and a soda. We’d all sit at a booth and have a good time laughing and joking and enjoying the food. A few years ago I heard that that pizzeria closed down, and I’ve had a hard time finding a place that makes the sandwiches as well as that place did.
So I’ve been experimenting at home trying to make our own cheese steak sandwiches. I’ve come pretty close, but there’s still something missing. I guess I need to experiment with different cheeses. I’ve tried looking up recipes on the Internet, and haven’t quite gotten up the nerve to try all the different ones.

A Taste of The Orient Rain Chains
Filed under: Entertainment and Fun, Environment and/or Green, Home and Garden; Tagged as: home, patio, rain chainComments OffSince my sister has a taste for the Orient in her decorating in and out of their house I have decided to purchase her a nice japanese rain chain for her to use outside by her patio. They have a very nice set up out back and they do a lot of entertaining so I do believe that she will be thrilled with the idea of a nice japanese rain chain as a present for her birthday next month.
These rain chains are becoming a popular item these past years and since we are most likely going to be experiencing a dreadfully hot and humid summer this year I think rain chains just might be a good idea. Check out this nice looking Fancy Koi 8 Foot Rain Chain that I’m thinking hard on ordering with my next paycheck for her.

My New Baby
Filed under: Business and Office, Entertainment and Fun, Friends and/or Family, General Life; Tagged as: baby, wedding, workComments OffGuest written by our friend Jan Petersen
There’s nothing in the world like sitting on the couch with my little baby while she sleeps. I can’t believe my husband and I MADE this little girl and that she really counts on us to keep her alive. I’ve been watching a lot of great shows on TLC about having babies and being pregnant and it’s just taking me back – they’ve also got a lot of really good wedding shows, too, which I find so much fun because I remember only a few years ago when I was worried about getting married. Anyway, I love being a mom and I’m really enjoying this maternity leave so I’m sad to see it end but you know, at the end of the day I DO miss work and I’m happy that my mom can watch my daughter. I have a feeling when I have my next one I’ll become a stay at home mommy but for now I guess I’m going to have to do the juggling act to keep everyone else happy around me.

Warm Hands and Feet
Filed under: Entertainment and Fun, shopping, Sports, technology; Tagged as: business, health, shopping, technology, weatherComments OffDuring the winter months, I do spend a good amount of my time both at home and a work, outside in the cold and damp weather conditions. One of my sisters heard one of the kids talking about these hand warmers that are all the rage with the cheerleaders that spend so much time in the cold weather also and she decided to inquire about these new products and ask around a bit for more info.
While she was at Wal Mart she checked in the Hunting Department and found this wonderful product and bought a dozen or so of these packets, that you open and shake for a few moments, and that you put in your pocket or gloves and they provide continuous heat for 10 full hours or more. You can even place them in the toe of your shoe or boot.
I tried them out last month when we had the extremely cold weather and was impressed with how well they worked, I’m glad that she took and ran with this brilliant idea, she is good to me.
