Warm Hands and Feet
Filed under: Entertainment and Fun, shopping, Sports, technology; Tagged as: business, health, shopping, technology, weatherComments OffDuring the winter months, I do spend a good amount of my time both at home and a work, outside in the cold and damp weather conditions. One of my sisters heard one of the kids talking about these hand warmers that are all the rage with the cheerleaders that spend so much time in the cold weather also and she decided to inquire about these new products and ask around a bit for more info.
While she was at Wal Mart she checked in the Hunting Department and found this wonderful product and bought a dozen or so of these packets, that you open and shake for a few moments, and that you put in your pocket or gloves and they provide continuous heat for 10 full hours or more. You can even place them in the toe of your shoe or boot.
I tried them out last month when we had the extremely cold weather and was impressed with how well they worked, I’m glad that she took and ran with this brilliant idea, she is good to me.

Appropriate Laptop Storage Carts
Filed under: Business and Office, Computers and/or Internet, Money, shopping, technology; Tagged as: boss, business, co workers, Internet, laptops, storageComments OffNot sure how I got the chore of finding a better way for our laptop storage problems at the office. Our secretary is out on Maternity Leave and they have not found a replacement so a good amount of her chores and responsibilities are being handed out to various other employees, hence my task of finding laptop carts that would be appropriate for our needs as well as being in the tight budget that I was informed of.
Now I’m certainly not a laptop cart specialist but considering that we have the Internet to use as a valuable tool in order to gain the knowledge needed to find not only the perfect laptop cart but at the most affordable price available. It shouldn’t be too big of deal I suppose, guess it’s better than some of the other tasks that have been handed out recently. We will all be so grateful when the “new mother” gets back from her Maternity Leave, if she indeed does comes back. But that’s another subject.

Printer/Copier/Fax
Filed under: Computers and/or Internet, Money, shopping, technology; Tagged as: copier, fax, printer, technologyComments OffI really don’t have much need in a printer/copier/fax type machine here at home, but on occasion it does serve a rare purpose and I’m now looking around for a new one to replace my now old and dying one. Of course I’m going to do my shopping online, hopefully it will last long enough to print out any documents needed for my online order! That would be just my luck for the timing to be off just enough to make what should be a simple enough task, a major ordeal.

Early Spring Equals Early Bugs and Spiders
Filed under: Computers and/or Internet, Environment and/or Green, Home and Garden, technology; Tagged as: bugs, environment, extreme weather, pest controlComments OffIt is starting to act like spring more and more around here although technically we should still be freezing and dealing with snow storms in the month of February. It has been the mildest winter in recorded history and I fear that we just might be in store with some type of wacky summer weather, exactly how I have no clue, but time certainly will tell.
Along with so many of the plants and flowers that have all ready started blooming, there has been an increase of bugs inside of the house recently. The spiders are the worst, may I can’t stand the thought of spiders roaming around the house day and night so I have gone ahead and went to http://www.pestcontrol.us and have scheduled a professional to come out to the house to help nip this in the bud, before I start losing sleep with the thought of a possible spider crawling in the bed with me at night. I just can’t handle that.

I have been trying as of late to be eating better for my health and it hasn’t been easy, but I think that even the smallest attempt is better than nothing. Good health and living longer has not been an issue on one side of my family with grandparents who lived into their 90’s on both sides of my family tree.
I don’t smoke, I don’t get as much exercise as I probably should, but I do a lot of walking these days, like most folks trying to save a buck here and there with the high price of gas and all, I just need to start eating a little better in an effort to live a lot longer, there is still a lot out there that I have plans on doing.
