My view on the world, as seen from whatever vehicle I’m in!

I was shopping at the local tie dye store earlier today, and was tempted to buy a really soft and silky feeling shirt for Teri to wear as a sleep shirt. I was quite surprised when the shop’s manager informed me that the shirt was made from bamboo! I have seen bamboo fencing, bamboo furniture, and bamboo paneling in the past, but I had never heard of clothing being made from bamboo!

Well of course I had to buy that shirt, and Teri loves it! Seems that I’ve won some brownie points by buying it. Teri is always telling me that she wants to try to avoid wearing synthetic products as much as possible, and she had never had any clothes made from bamboo in the past. I wonder if this is going to be a new trend in the fashion industry. I started to do a little bit of research in the Internet about whether bamboo clothing is part of the “green” movement, and I’ve been reading mixed reviews. Seems that although it is a renewable resource, the chemicals used in the production are not environmentally friendly. I hope that they can do something to correct that situation.
