Teri tells me that our toaster oven died last night when she was cooking some dinner rolls in it. That was discouraging, now we need a new toaster oven! We use our toaster oven a lot – just being the two of us it is the perfect size to cook small meals without having to “fire up” the “big oven.” I’m going to have to do some Internet research on toaster oven comparison to figure out which one I want to buy to replace this one. Since we use it a lot, I want to make sure to get one with the all of the features that we need.

Been experiencing some sleep issues these past couple of years, my doctor has been talking about sending me for a sleep study, but I’m not too keen on that idea, at least not as of yet. I want to try a natural sleep aid or two and look into some other natural options before getting into anything deeper at this point in time.
Terri would like to start to buy vitamins online for her various mind and body concerns, so she is going to look and see if she can find something that might make sense and assist me as well. Not getting enough sleep can really take a toll on a person in so many ways. One of my issues are the memory lapses that I’ve been experiencing a lot of. Memory lapses causes a lot of grief for me at work as well as home, it is really becoming a problem all the way around. I’d like to get the holidays over and done with, way too much to do right now to stop and deal with such things.

Heating a home with fire
Filed under: Computers and/or Internet, Environment and/or Green, General Life, Health, Home and Garden, shopping;Comments OffI love the warm feeling of a real fire in the cooler weather months. Whether from fireplaces, or from wood stoves, real fires feel great – both physically and emotionally. A wood fire seems to be a moist heat, which makes you feel warmer than heat from a furnace. When we first bought this house, we saw that there was a hearth and flue for a wood stove in the family room in addition to the fireplace in the formal living room. We never got around to putting in a wood stove, but I think maybe this year we will do exactly that – buy and install a really nice looking wood stove that has a glass front in it so we can watch the flames. There is something magical about watching the flames dancing around the logs as the fire burns.
I’d like to buy a wood stove that has a blower on it to blow the hot air out into the room – it warms up the entire house much better if it has a blower on it. And of course, we’d have to put a steamer pot on top of the wood stove – I found a really cool looking steamer that looks like a dragon that I’d love to buy for the stove at the ibuywoodstoves.com website.

Most of my/our friends are married. But unfortunately with marriages does come divorces and it seems that divorce has been happening more often this year and I now have a handful of old friends that have become single once again. I can’t imagine having to get back into the dating scene after all the years that I have spent as a couple with Terri. It must be terrifying and I don’t envy any of these guys right now, especially with the holidays looming right ahead.
They all seem to be reacting a bit different then another, some are ready to jump into a new relationship and are trying to figure out how to attract women, while others are totally gun shy and are not in any hurry to even think about how to attract women. In today’s economy it is pretty difficult to try and court a woman when money is so tight. And most of them have been raked through the coal’s in their divorce settlement so they have to deal with all of those costs as well.
I’ve always thought that they made it too darn easy to get married and way too difficult to get out of a marriage gone wrong. It always seems to come down to the all mighty $$$.

High Cholesterol
Filed under: General Life, Health;1 CommentWell all of this high living and traveling I’ve been enjoying so much is catching up to me. My cholesterol tests came back and it is too high. So my doctor has told me that I have to modify my diet and exercise more than just my fingers on the keyboard! So I’ll be doing just that! I love to eat out at restaurants; I’ll just have to be more mindful of what I order. I’ll start all of this after Christmas of course!
