We checked into wireless internet plans and ended up switching. Now, I can get on all of the sites that I love quickly, without having to wait a long time for things to load up. I love to cook, I would say that it is my hobby. I have a few favorite cooking websites that have great recipes, product reviews, and presentation ideas. My favorite website is Cooks.com. They are the ones who produce the Cook’s Illustrated magazine monthly. It is my favorite magazine because they always have a section that educates you on what they are featuring that month. For example, a few months ago, they featured eggplants. They show you how to cook, cut, and the many different types. I honestly didn’t know that there were so many different types of eggplant! You have to pay a fee to access the website, but it is definitely worth it. You have access to all of the recipes and also the product reviews from past issues. If you join a cooking website, make sure that this is the one, because it is definitely the best. It will take you from mediocre cooking to great cooking!

I remember some of my tekkie-er friends talking about some of the social networking sites back in the day, about how they could keep up with friends and network quickly at the speed of broadband, but recently it seems that social networks have really become a tool of not just tech geeks, but many of my business associates and not just my friends, but their kids seem to be on myspace, facebook, and even using social news sites like digg on a regular basis.

I have to admit this is one of those tech ideas that I thought would never catch on with mainstream America, but it seems that it has taken over quickly as a must have communication tool. Very cool.

More consumers are having difficulty paying their bills in today’s economy.  Many people are losing their jobs, and then they lose their homes.  It’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, although the price of gas seems to be coming down for the moment.  I suspect, however, that the only reason that the price of gas is coming down is because the oil companies are afraid that the United States really IS going to pursue alternative energy sources and then the oil companies will not be able to hold the US hostage with their threats of withholding oil from us!

Because of the worsening economy, the credit card industry is changing too.  Many credit card companies are cancelling their customer’s accounts even though the customer has never had a late payment with that company.  Some are lowering their customer’s credit card credit balance;  they don’t want to lose the customer but are afraid that the customer might run up the balance on the credit card and then not be able to pay. So it is important to no the best credit repair service available and know how to rebuild your credit fast these days.

One such example of that has hit my own family – my sister sent me an email this morning telling me that her Providian Credit Card company just sent her a notice that they are reducing her credit limit, even though she has never had a late payment with them!  Although this is not going to cause her any hardship, she is annoyed that they have reduced her credit limit. Come to find out that there is an error on her credit report so now she is busy learning how to fix credit reports, what a hassle.

It amazes me how many people I have met at nice hotels around the world. Often times when I make it into a new city focused on the seminars and training, I do not even think about the things I am going to learn just from meeting and talking to people from other parts of the world.

When I venture down to the hotel bar, and even just waiting for a cab I tend to learn all kinds of interesting things about the world when striking up conversations with strangers. I have had many good times sharing experiences with people met at hotels from around the globe. It makes me want to have a hotel weekend at home with friends, so we could all forget about the mundane issues at home and just talk and share.

I’ve watched a few episodes of the hit TV show {scrubs}, and I have to say that one of the episodes was really awesome! I absolutely love it. This episode was called “My Musical” and the entire episode was a musical. What a riot! You can see that the cast must have had a great time taping that show! The basic idea behind the show was that a patient had something wrong with their brain so that she thought that everyone was singing and dancing all of the time even in their cotton scrub uniforms that they are always dressed in, much like the kind you can find at http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/Original-Scrubs/.

Of course, they fixed this particular patient, but it was a great episode, watching everyone dancing and singing! I’m sure we’ll be watching that episode again! When we pick up the DVD set of this wacky slap stick show that I somehow entirely missed watching all of these years up until now.
