It looks like our small town is growing more than I thought. Went to the movie theatre last night to see the new Contagion Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, Kate Winslet, and let’s not forget the beautiful Laurence Fishburne. We were totally impressed, it turned out to be a really good movie, worth going out and traveling into and seeing to be sure.

Anyway, it has been a while since venturing out to the movies, so we were surprised to see that they now have brand new fancy looking stanchions with all the velvet rope that they use for crowd control in other movie theatres that you go to in the big city. I’m just not sure why they thought this was necessary. I’ve never seen a crowd in that theatre day or night, week nights or weekends in all the years that we have lived here and going to that movies theatre wish is the only movie theatre for miles around.

The really bummer is that we are now paying for all the additional furnishings, the ticket prices have never been as high as what we paid for last night. A sign of the time and as the old saying goes “Nothing is Free.”
