I can remember a time when I was talking with my younger brother about whether he believed in God.  He told me that he did not.  I asked him why, and he told me that he does not believe in anything that he can’t see.  And he had a smart-alecky smirk on his face when he said it, like he was challenging me in some way to overcome that objection.  I just smiled at him and asked him if he can see the air that he breathes.  He said no, he could not.  Then I asked him if he believed that air existed.  He said yes.  Then I asked him why he believed that air existed if he can’t see it, but he did not believe God existed because he can’t see it.  I still laugh when I remember the expression on his face when I led him that!  His jaw dropped open and his face turned beet red!  He had no explanation to give.

I think of that story when ever I have to order cpap air filters for my mother-in-law’s cpap machine that she wears to bed at night.  She suffers from COPD and recently her doctor told her that she not only has to use an oxygen machine 24/7 but that she has to use a special CPAP machine at night to make sure that she doesn’t stop breathing at night.  I haven’t had any experience with anything like this before, and I have to find out if she needs HEPA cpap filters or if there are any kind that are not HEPA.  I want to make sure to get the right kind at the best price.

I think that it is wonderful that technolog and medicine have developed in such a way that people with breathing problems can survive for many years.

The more I keep hearing about the massacre in Norway this week, the more befuddled I get.  A nut-job of a guy dressed up as a police officer luring innocent teenagers to him so he can gun them down!  What is this world coming to?  Simply unbelievable.  I don’t know if Norway has the death penalty or not, but this guy certainly deserves it.  I hope he gets the maximum sentence possible.  Those poor kids, and those poor families.  My heart aches for them all.

I’m a stay at home mom but lately I’ve had an urge to start some kind of home business for myself that will help me make some extra cash and not be so bored. I love being able to play with my kids all day but I think it’s time I started using my adult brain again! I saw an ad in the paper not long ago for a personal chef to prepare weekly meals for a family and I thought it was brilliant – there’s nothing I’m better at than cooking! I spend a lot of my time watching food shows on http://DIREC.TV and I read pretty much every cooking magazine and book that comes out. I can’t believe after all this time my calling is going to end up being food! Anyway, last week I signed my first client for a week’s deal and I’m really thinking things are going to be great . My husband is excited about the extra money and I’m excited about getting out of the house for a few hours!

A friend shared this with me on facebook, and I really think that his guy is too good to NOT share it with everyone. This video is fresh and CLEAN and his voice is fantastic. There are way too many videos out there with too much flesh showing and wiggling and jiggling. I hope this guy succeeds in show business in a big way.

I think that the best test of friendship is when you get a job in sales, and you work on commission, that your friends and family DON’T avoid you. My brother Ed just got a job in insurance sales, and he has asked all of his friends and all of his family to let him practice his sales pitch on them and consider his product, and I swear you would think that he had stood up in a crowded theater and yelled “Fire!”

I went ahead and took a look at his product and I think it is a good one. In fact, I bought it. It’s a real shame that he had to learn the hard way exactly who his support network is and is not.
