Good Old Fashioned PB&J For Today
Filed under: food, General Life;Comments OffThere are still some foods that I really enjoyed as a kid that I still enjoying today, many years later. The reason I bring this up is that I wasn’t starving this afternoon and couldn’t find a darned thing in the kitchen that seemed to float my boat when it came to me that I had a brand new jar of peanut butter and a few packets of Raspberry Jelly laying around that found their way into the kitchen from some resturant that I had ate at some time ago. I know it is wierd but I have not had a PBJ in so long; in fact I had forgotten all about how good they are and so very easy to make. So it was a pleasent change of pace to eat one. Of course I had to have a nice cold glass of milk to chase it down with. It kept me going for a few hours and now I have to figure out what to fix for dinner.

Used Vehicles Down Tampa Florida Way
Filed under: Computers and/or Internet, Friends and/or Family, Investing, Money, shopping, technology, Travel;Comments OffI was curious to see what the prices were for used trucks in Tampa, which is where my kid brother recently moved in hopes of finding a better job than the one he has had here for the last 2 years. The time has come for him to spread his wings and take a short flight away from home and family members that are just bringing him down lately. Money is an issue these days for most of us and he certainly is no different from the rest of us. It is just too bad that his biggest finance issue right now is court ordered child support that is taking such a big chunk out of each and every one of his meager paychecks.
So his plan is to get down there and check some of the Tampa used cars places and find himself a decent used pick up truck and get to work right away. But without a good running and reliable truck his odds on finding something that pays a decent wage are slim. That is why I am curious to see how the prices are in Tampa. I found a great website – http://www.tampa-used-cars.com/ that I have forwarded the link to him and hope to talk to him soon about before he heads out of here next month. It’s a pretty easy website to maneuver around in. I like that it states right at the beginning “No Ads, No Banners, Just Cars” now that is what I’m talking about. Their blog isn’t half bad either, so many times I can’t get past the first couple of posts in all the blogs that websites are now putting together for their readers.
Check out this nice looking used 2002 Ford F-150 for just under $8,000.
Isn’t it a beauty!

Buried In A Pringles Can
Filed under: Business and Office, Computers and/or Internet, food, Health, Investing, News, shopping, technology;Comments OffI will never look at a Pringles Potato Chip can the same after reading the story on Yahoo.com last week about the man who invented the Pringle and it’s can, who passed away last month, May 4th, 2011. It seems that he was cremated and at his request, most of his ashes were placed in a Pringles ”Original Flavor” can with the remaining
ashes placed in an urn the way that most people use for their loved one’s remains.
This actually is a pretty cool and unique story, but it will forever change the way I look at a Pringles can I’ll tell you that!

I remember the big to-do a few years back when the White House provided the Obama girls a wonderful playground, right on the White House grounds for them and their friends to enjoy while President Obama is in office. Of course not any of today’s extrodinairy playgrounds would do for the first family, a lot of thought and effort went into to this children’s playground and safe haven. With the “GREEN” issue such a hot topic in everyone’s lives they made sure that they went with a company that makes an effort to preserve our environment. That is where Rubberecycle came in and fit the bill perfectly.
Rubberecycle is know for their rubber granule products that are unique in the fact that they are made 100% from old used and unwanted tires. Their rubber mulch is totally environment friendly, extremely safe, and very economical. Three big and important points that led their company right up to the White House and in the news, big time.
They don’t limit their products various aspects of playgrounds. They also manufacture their rubber products for Landscaping and Equestrian Arena Footing as well. They have a very interesting and enlightening website that I would urge anyone to check out and see what Rubberecycle is all about and all of their unique products that are in high demand these days, being “Green” and all.

Gotta Love The 80′s
Filed under: Entertainment and Fun, Environment and/or Green, General Life, Home and Garden, Real Estate;Comments OffFinally a day that was acceptable to be outside doing labor intensive yard work. With all of the rain that we had to deal with for the entire Spring season, there is a lot of us that didn’t get the usual outside spring cleaning and yard work that is required in order to have the yard and the gardens ready to enjoy for the summer months. After the rains started easing up we immediately got slammed with days in the 90′s and 100 degrees mark, which is entirely too hot for me to get a lot of outside work done. A little here and a little there and what seems to me not a whole lot of anything getting accomplished to my standards.
So today it stayed in the 80′s and I got a good amount of stuff done. The garden is now ready for planting. I can’t believe that it is in the middle of June and the garden is just now ready to go, usually it is ready to go by the dreaded date of April 15th. While most people are standing in line at the Post Office in an effort to get their taxes in the mail I am usually knee deep in our nice rich soil, getting filthy dirty and loving every minute of it. I can only hope and pray that this type of weather stays around for as long as possible, there is still plenty to do and July 4th is right around the corner. We always have a 4th of July party. Nothing big, but we always have a blast, so the yard needs to be in tip top shape by then.
