Darren Number and Darren Number Two, Both In Advertising

I have to admit that the closest I’ve ever been to anybody in the Advertising business was watching Darren, Samantha’s husband back in the 1960′s TV hit show “Bewitched” I know that sounds pretty lame but it’s true. I know a lot of people that have been, currently are or are planning being in some pretty unique and unusual employment situations, but certainly not all professions have crossed paths with me, yet anyway. Not sure what the future holds for me but I do believe that I have a good long and healthy life time ahead of me, with many adventures still out there with my name all over them!

Anyway the whole reason I bring up up Advertising Agency issue is because my younger sister is becoming serious with a young man who works for a pretty good sized Advertising Agency in the next town over and I’m finding a hard time finding things in common to talk with this guy about when we have the opportunity to visit with them. He is nice enough, seems to have a decent head on his shoulders from what I can tell so far. He hasn’t been married before, has no known children from previous relationships, which are two things that are hard to find in young adults these days. The thing is we really don’t have a lot in common, other than the basics. We don’t know the same people, don’t go to the same places, I’m into sports to a certain extent and he could care less about anything other than golf.

The wife says that it will be just a matter of time for some people and not to sweat it too much, which I’m not. But if there is something that I can read up on or talk with someone about in an effort to make things a bit easier I’m not against that one bit. I’m sure the Internet is full of all types and varieties of advertising, a bit overwhelming actually, I’d rather read a book about it or something specific like that. That is a thought maybe a book from the library would help. I haven’t been there in a while, but I still have my card in my wallet. Something to chew on for now.
