Cindy, my middle sister confided in me, via email, that on Thanksgivings she plans on announcing her engagement to the fellow that she has been involved with for the past 4 years. He got down on his knees last week and presented her with a pretty good sized diamond engagement ring that he purchased online at since1910.com. They were eating dinner at their favorite steak house and out of the blue he popped the question, which she promptly answered with a “Hell yes!”
This is good news indeed, she got married at 17 to a real jerk. Of course the marriage didn’t last long and it put her in deep debt for several years and her head was pretty messed up for a while due to this guys mistreatment of her physically and mentally. So then this new guy came along and he has turned her life around and now she is getting married to him.
My mother is really going to be happy. The last couple of Thanksgiving dinners haven’t worked out all that well. It seems that some body screws it up some how, either by not attending because they have an attitude with another person or another, or starting an argument with someone getting upset and leaving the table and the house in an uproar. So this will hopefully keep things up beat and a true celebration.
Cindy says that they are now going to be looking for wedding rings, her finance makes a decent living so he will make sure that she gets what she wants, no matter what the cost, if it makes her happy. He seems to have made her happy with the choice that he made with the engagement rings, which we will all make sure to make a big to do about come Thursday.

I try to watch The Antiques Roadshow when ever I can. It always amazes me to see the things that people from all over the country bring in for appraisals and the prices that they are quoted. I have learned so much from watching this show. I enjoy going to the flea market as often as I can, not the junky flea market that is full of baby clothes and toys along with other yard sale crap, but the nicer up scale flea market that is full of antiques, collectibles and vintage items. Since watching The Antiques Roadshow I am gotten pretty good at pricing various items and I feel pretty confident when discussing certain items with the vendors that set up there each Sunday.

Am I the only one who didn’t know about a key logger that can be used to monitor what teenagers or a spouse does online? Seriously, I had no idea that things like that are available for anyone to buy and put into use. Not that I have anything to hide, but just the thought that someone would buy a key logger or other surveillance device and use it to monitor what I do on my own computer is very disturbing.
If someone has nothing better to do than sneak onto my computer after I go to bed and check up on what web sites I’ve been to or poke around in my email, then I feel very sorry for them. Using a computer device to secretly capture chat and snoop around is just wrong. Maybe reading this post will make that person feel a little guilty, too. I hope so.
What’s next? Should the suspicious person buy a GPS tracking device and see where I’ve been driving? Give me a break!

I’m not going to say what has been going on at work. But I will say that certain people have been acting badly. “Nuff said.

I think that I have found the perfect Christmas present for my mother. She has a great talent for growing things indoors and outdoors, a very green thumb so to speak. She has been wanting to install some window boxes in some of the windows at her new place, so I’ve been spending some time on the computer researching some of the nice fiberglass planters that are now available online.
Check out this nice looking fiberglass planter for the windows that I found at eplanters.com. I think it is perfect for my mother and that she would really appreciate it and use it for a long time to come. I like the fact that eplanters.com accepts Pay Pal and that they have free shipping, two big pluses for this online shopper. They have a great selection of fiber glass planters, and various other types of planters as well. I can’t imagine her not loving this particular fiber glass planter, but one never knows for sure. They do have a 30 day “No Hassle” return policy just in case, so I think I’ll go ahead and place my order. It is 15% off, so it’s just under $100 which is my limit for Christmas gifts, so it will all work out nicely.
