Was channel surfing the other night and landed on The Animal Planet Channel while they were doing a show all about cats and kittens. They had some pretty amazing videos of some pretty cool felines. The one that I enjoyed the most I found on YouTube.com today to enjoy at my leisure.

Cindy, my middle sister confided in me, via email, that on Thanksgivings she plans on announcing her engagement to the fellow that she has been involved with for the past 4 years. He got down on his knees last week and presented her with a pretty good sized diamond engagement ring that he purchased online at since1910.com. They were eating dinner at their favorite steak house and out of the blue he popped the question, which she promptly answered with a “Hell yes!”

This is good news indeed, she got married at 17 to a real jerk. Of course the marriage didn’t last long and it put her in deep debt for several years and her head was pretty messed up for a while due to this guys mistreatment of her physically and mentally. So then this new guy came along and he has turned her life around and now she is getting married to him.

My mother is really going to be happy. The last couple of Thanksgiving dinners haven’t worked out all that well. It seems that some body screws it up some how, either by not attending because they have an attitude with another person or another, or starting an argument with someone getting upset and leaving the table and the house in an uproar. So this will hopefully keep things up beat and a true celebration.

Cindy says that they are now going to be looking for wedding rings, her finance makes a decent living so he will make sure that she gets what she wants, no matter what the cost, if it makes her happy. He seems to have made her happy with the choice that he made with the engagement rings, which we will all make sure to make a big to do about come Thursday.

I try to watch The Antiques Roadshow when ever I can. It always amazes me to see the things that people from all over the country bring in for appraisals and the prices that they are quoted. I have learned so much from watching this show. I enjoy going to the flea market as often as I can, not the junky flea market that is full of baby clothes and toys along with other yard sale crap, but the nicer up scale flea market that is full of antiques, collectibles and vintage items. Since watching The Antiques Roadshow I am gotten pretty good at pricing various items and I feel pretty confident when discussing certain items with the vendors that set up there each Sunday.
