From time to time when I upgrade my WordPress blog I find that the wordpress themes that I have used in the past don’t work well anymore.  In a way I find that to be a source of annoyance.  I get comfortable with my themes, and so I like to stay with the one that works.  I imagine you’ve heard the phrase “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”  Well, that’s how I feel about just about everything in my life.  That’s probably why I’m not a famous inventor! So I end up changing my theme with great reluctance.

But for those of us who always like to improve on things, there are plenty of great themes to pick from.  Some themes you have to pay for, but the best free wordpress themes are simply awesome as well.  You don’t have to pay an arm and a leg to get a really great theme.  For those folks who are just now thinking about starting to blog and want to use WordPress, it is always a good idea to make sure that the hosting site is wordpress friendly.  I was thinking about buying a new domain for Teri to use and was looking around to see if I could find a list of the top 10 wordpress hosting companies.  I was pleased to see that the hosting company that I already use was on the list!

Although I have not used any other type of software for my blogging purposes, I have to say that the WordPress has been extremely satisfactory in every way.  I cannot imagine any other type of platform could make it any easier!  I will admit that I’m still learning a lot about its features!  I’m sure that there are plenty of techno-geeks out in cyberspace that look down their noses at us novice bloggers, but I think that as long as everyone is having good clean fun, well then we should make room for each other, novice and expert alike.

There are some foods that taste great the day they are cooked, but then there are a lot of foods that taste even better the second day.  Teri cooked a great Thanksgiving meal yesterday, and today we are enjoying the great leftovers.  I love an open faced turkey sandwich with stuffing and gravy and cranberry sauce on top.  What’s even better about the leftovers is that you can just open the refrigerator door and have a great meal in only ten minutes or less.  No waiting for hours on end smelling the enticing aroma of the roasting turkey.  And no messy pans to clean up afterwards.  Yeah, leftovers are good!

It’s the day before Thanksgiving, and you could not pay me enough money to drive on the interstate or go into any grocery store. I can’t stand crowds, I hate heavy traffic, and I’m just not going to ruin my day with unnecessary aggravation.

I feel bad for the people who have to drive a long distance to “go home” or see relatives for the Thanksgiving holiday. This is the most traveled day of the year so far. Traffic will be a nightmare, especially for people who are having to travel out west. The weather is really bad today, with snow and ice. It would be a terrible thing to wreck your car on the way to a free dinner.

We just got back from lunch and the whole experience made me appreciate how the right Restaurant Website Design will bring new customers into a restaurant for the first time. This also leads to the question, who is your best customer that you will work the hardest to impress? Will you worker harder for the new customer in hopes they will come back? Or will you work harder to make sure your existing regulars will stay happy?

We heard about a new place, thanks to their Restaurant Social Media Marketing. I wasn’t really interested in Mexican food today, but everyone wanted to go someplace to celebrate the birthday of our HR manager. You cannot afford to disappoint the HR manager by not attending their birthday lunch, so off we went.

The upshot of this whole experience is that, if you own a restaurant, you need to get the right Information, hire some good internet people, and make the best use of the web to attract the new customers that you need to be a successful business. You cannot just count on signage and word of mouth. There are people out there who are looking for a new place to try out and they are only looking online. So make sure you get the message to those people. Once they new customers come in the door, it’s up to you to make them happy enough to want to come back.

Was channel surfing the other night and landed on The Animal Planet Channel while they were doing a show all about cats and kittens. They had some pretty amazing videos of some pretty cool felines. The one that I enjoyed the most I found on YouTube.com today to enjoy at my leisure.
