Haunted subway car
Filed under: Computers and/or Internet, Entertainment and Fun;Comments OffI would love to stumble upon a stunt from the Improv Everywhere folks! They sure come up with some wacky stunts! But until I do, I just have to enjoy watching their stunts that they post on the ‘Net. Like this haunted subway car.

The task of remodeling of the master bath has taken more time and money than I originally had planned for, but that seems to be the way it goes when you get involved in projects such as this. It hasn’t been too awfully bad. We have all heard horror stories about remodeling projects gone wild, mine has been pretty tame in comparison to most, I imagine.
I thought that I had most of it planned out and the decisions all made, until I realized that I had not thought about shower heads for the new shower that is taking the place of the old bath tub that I’ve been stuck with for so very long. So I’ve been looking around online at various shower heads and am learning that there are so many types and varieties of shower heads available these days that making a decision has been a challenge for me.
Takeashower.com is a wonderful website to find a nice selection of shower heads. I have fairly low water pressure in my place and am glad to see that you can find low pressure shower heads and at reasonable prices. I have also been looking at the handheld shower heads that I’m interested in installing in there as well, they come in handy in so many ways that it just makes sense to have one.
This job should be wrapped up by Thanksgiving. I really don’t need to be dealing with remodeling issues with the holiday season fast approaching, I’ll have my hands full with all that goes along with the Christmas holidays.

Last night Teri and I were awakened by a loud crash. I jumped out of bed and turned on the light to investigate what it could be. It sounded like it was right in our bedroom, whatever it was! I grabbed my wood police baton and started looking for an intruder. I felt rather silly when I realized that the sound was NOT from an intruder, but was from the over-crowded closet rod in the closet falling to the floor. I’m not really surprised that happened; I’ve been warning Teri for months that she needs to go through her closet and weed out some of the clothes that she hasn’t worn in a long time. Maybe now she’ll go through the clothes while I go and reinforce the closet rod.

Cindy called Teri last night, very upset because her daughter had admitted herself to the hospital last night. She has been suffering from depression ever since she was laid off of work, and she has had a rough time finding a new job. The area of the country that she lives in has a high unemployment rate, and jobs are scarce. Cindy was asking Teri if she had any information about low-income friendly mental health treatment centers in the area that might be able to offer her the mental health treatment she needs to get past this depression.
Seems like more than half of the people I know are suffering from some level of depression as a result of these difficult economic times we are in. And sadly, many people refuse to acknowledge that they are suffering from depression. That makes it dangerous. I think that there should be more public service announcements about depression, and how people can get low cost help for relief. What do you think?

It is supposed to be a nice week end, a little crisp but nice so I thinking of taking a drive up to the mountains and hit some of the yard sales and flea markets along the way and back. The trees are turning colors all ready so it will be a beautiful drive, just me and my awesome sound system with a few of my better CDs for a few hours. I always find the most interesting items when I go up there, so we will see what treasures I come home with this time.
