Health Insurance costs are on the rise. Which is really bad news for many of us, because many of us are losing the economic battle. Those of us who still have jobs are finding that we aren’t getting raises and the spending power of our dollars have fallen short. We have too much month left at the end of our money. So many of us are looking for ways to cut our health care costs by finding and buying cheap health insurance. Who can afford to spend hundreds of dollars every month on premiums? Not many of us, that is for sure!
Fortunately, it is not difficult to find sources on the Internet that can provide us with instant health insurance quotes to help us find out if it is possible to find less expensive policies. What really aggravates me, though, is that many of the insurance companies are raising the co-pays and deductibles. Sometimes you just can’t win no matter what you do! Sometimes I think we should all just move to Canada!

Autumn Leaves
Filed under: Environment and/or Green, Home and Garden;Comments OffThe trees are all ready starting to changes colors around here. Autumn is such a wonderful season, but I don’t look forward to having to rake up all of the fallen leaves in the next month. I have a lot of property with a lot of trees and it takes a lot of time and work to keep the place up to speed. And then we get to look forward to the snow that we will soon be dealing with, sigh…..

Axis Residential Treatment, California
Filed under: Business and Office, Computers and/or Internet, Friends and/or Family, General Life, Health, Money, News, Politics, technology;Comments OffI know of several friends, neighbors, co workers and family members that have gone through drug treatment and alcohol treatment, some have been successful and some haven’t. With so many people under so much stress with financial issues, due to our economy mess that our government has gotten us sucked into it isn’t surprising to see that the need for drug rehab and alcohol rehab is on the rise.
You can look on the Internet and find a good amount of drug and alcohol treatment center facilities advertising their services. It is amazing how many of them are located in California. I guess since California is such a large state with a huge population of partying people and all of their budget issues that the need is greater there than anywhere else. But that is pure speculation on my part.
Just the other day I ran across a site for The Axis Residential Treatment Center, which is located in California, the Palm Springs area east of L.A. I imagine they are keep pretty busy being so close to where the majority of today’s celebrities are located at and we all know how messed up so many of them are. Almost on a weekly basis we are hearing how another celebrity is getting in trouble and ending up in jail and then eventually headed to some type of rehab.

Prison
Filed under: Education, Entertainment and Fun;Comments OffI’ve noticed that there is a lot of TV shows that are being made concerning jails and prisons around the country. They usually come on late at night and the wee early morning hours. I have to sleep with the TV on and I wake up several times during the night and find myself watching some pretty strange shows during those hours.

I can’t think of a single person that I know of that who’s life hasn’t been touched with someone that is dealing with some type of disability or serious illness like cancer or Multiple Sclerosis for example. I understand that the Disability claims at the Social Security offices are on the rise and they can’t keep up with them all. With all of the budget cut backs the Social Security employees are short staffed and over whelmed, crazy isn’t it?
My neighbor has been experiencing Ms Symptoms and finally went to his doctor and found out that he is in the early stages of MS. He is a great guy and a great neighbor that I feel privileged to have in my life and I don’t want to see anything happen to him. He is a senior citizen that isn’t yet up to speed on the Internet, which isn’t uncommon for many of our senior citizens. So I have taken it upon myself to do a bit of research online and print out some good information to share with him.
Knowledge is power and he needs to know what he is up against and learn all he can in order to keep up with all that goes along with an illness such as MS. As with most illnesses there is a lot to be said about diet and exercise, so first off I have found a good Multiple Sclerosis Diet for him to check out and hopefully abide by. As far as exercise goes, I’m right next door and I intend to do what ever it takes to get him to do the right and smart thing to keep him around for as long as possible. Good people are hard to find in this crazy world and a good neighbor is even rarer.
