Whwn Teri and I go to  Open Houses we enjoy looking at the decorating themes of the different places.  You can tell when someone has put a lot of energy and investment in their homes when you see expensive fixtures such as Minka Aire Ceiling Fans or lights by Hubbardton Forge or Artemide.  I like the clean modern looks, but Teri thinks that it looks “cold.”

Nine weeks and the oil just keeps on coming. I lost respect for Exxon back in the 80′s when they ruined Alaska with their oil spill issues, which they still have not taken full responsibility and action for. I haven’t purchased any gas or oil from Exxon or Mobile since then. Looks like I’ll putting BP on my boycott list as well. No respect.

It just blows me away how many types of insurance is available to us these days. At my parents house, I found a box in the basement over the weekend, that had several old local phone books packed away in it, back from the 70′s. As I took a cigarette break, I took the time to browse through some of them and was amazed on how different things are, now that we are in the 21st century. I had an uncle who was an insurance agent back then so I looked to see his ad, for grins and giggles, along with several other businesses and folks that I had an interest in or a relationship back then. A short trip down memory lane via the Yellow Pages, who would have thought!

Anyway back to the insurance issue. Back then the big push was in home, life and auto insurance, while these days the whole ad space could be totally filled with the large variety of insurance policies that are being offered. Policies like accident insurance, funeral insurance, guardian insurance, renters insurance, boat insurance, pool insurance, van insurance, tool insurance, travel insurance,  pet insurance, income insurance and the list just keeps on keeping on. So many policies, so little time……………..OMG!

Today I had a bit of time and looked up a few insurance companies while I was online and found that I am definitely behind the times when it comes to the issue of insurance. I even checked out some insurance companies out of the United States and got a quick education from reading those. Whether it was life insurance Australia style or Horse & Rider insurance for the Irish, I can say that insurance has come a long way and that there is policy out there for just about everything for everybody, everywhere. An interesting read…………………….

After much discussion, it was decided when we first moved into this apartment that we would not bring any types of pets into our home. Neither one of us wants the responsibility of a pet, and so far we have managed just fine. We have had a few opportunities to bring home a kitten or a puppy that some one has placed into our arms from time to time. These critters are adorable and really can tug at the heart strings, but just keeping the thought in the back of our minds that they don’t stay little and cute for very long and then we are responsible for this creature for the remainder of their lives and that helps us say “No thanks”

My sister was telling me that her son was having a hard time finding time to play Aion anymore, now that he has started taking college courses along with working a full time job. So he found a website that he could use to Sell Aion Accounts. I’d never heard of such a thing before, so I went online to check it out for myself.

There really is a website that buys and sells developed video game characters! I could not believe my eyes when I saw how much money they charged to
Buy WoW Accounts! There is some serious money exchanging hands there! The Aion accounts were much lower in price. I don’t know that much about either of the games, but just learning that this kind of business even exists really surprised me!
