Last night I was working and Jim was talking to me about how hard he is looking for love. I advised him to stop looking so hard! I told him that the best thing that he could do is to just get involved in activities that he really enjoys and that love will find him. He had no idea what I was talking about! So I explained that if he joined some clubs, or maybe something like a bowling league and just went out and had fun that down the road he will run into someone who shares his interests and then love will find them.

That is one of the funny things about love – it is very elusive and you need to just enjoy life until love finds you. BUT, and this is a very important BUT, you cannot find love if you just stay inside the house! You need to get OUT of the house and DO SOMETHING! I think that there are a lot of young people that don’t understand how important that is!

Cheryl sent me an email, telling me that she wants to start looking for better deals on her insurance. Money is tight for her (as it seems to be for most people I know, including me!) and she was thinking that maybe she could save some money by changing her insurance. But she really didn’t know the best way to get started on her search for better insurance! Since she lives in Franklin, MA, I told her that the best advice that I could give her would be to use Google and try a few different keywords.

The keywords that I suggested that she use included Insurance Franklin, MA, Franklin MA Insurance, Auto Insurance Franklin, MA, Compare Insurance Franklin MA, and Homeowners Insurance Franklin, MA to start. I think that would bring up quite a few results for her to get started. Personally I like doing business with independent agents because they can compare lots of different companies and get you the best deal. Calling someone who is dedicated to just one company might not be the best way to find the best deal.

To me it is sad to hear that a man was so terribly desperate with his tax problems that he felt that he had to burn his house down and then crash into the local IRS building. Taxes have always been a big issue in people’s lives, something that I guess we will always need to deal with. These are scary times, what with the economy in such a mess and now that it is tax time I’m afraid we will be hearing more stories like this one.

I have no problem ordering work clothes online. I look for sites that have decent return policies and the rest is pretty easy. I’m not too hard to please when it comes to workwear clothing. We do spend a good amount of time in our work wear but I’m not out to impress anyone while on the clock. Dave’s New York has a great website that I order from a few times a year. Teri found it for me and they get a lot of my business. They have a great variety of brand names that I know I can rely on and have good prices for the work clothing that I find that I need every now and then.

When I’m at home a good comfortable pair of blue jeans are what I’m all about. There is something about an old broken in pair of jeans, that just can’t be thrown out, that feel so darn good on the body all year round. Teri would like to see me dress up more, but there really isn’t any need for it for the most part. I do have two suits in the closet that I have if needed, and I would be just as happy to never have to pull either one of them out, ever.

I am hoping to get a chance this week to get all the paperwork gathered up that I have been collecting all year in order to get my tax return filed. It is a real pain in the rear, but well worth the hassle in order to receive as much cash back that I can each year from good old Uncle Sam and our friends at the IRS.

I’ve really been wanting to buy a new laptop. I was kind of hoping that I would have received one for Christmas, but that didn’t happen, oh well you can’t get everything that is on your Christmas wish list. A nice dell studio 15 would be nice and I’m keeping my eyes peeled for online deals to take advantage of when I get my check in the mail in the next few weeks. Of course a nice new samsung lcd tv would be sweet as well. Guess we will have to see what H & R Block have to say about the whole sordid affair.

I do the majority of my purchasing online these days. I’ve never been a fan of shopping, going to one of the local malls or to Wal Mart just isn’t my idea of a fun time. So ordering online works out well with me. There are deals to be found for online shoppers and don’t mind taking the time to look for them since I’m on my computer so much of the time any ways. I’ve just ran across a sweet deal for a timex ironman watch on Become.com that is 20% off. That is a nice savings and I’ve been meaning to pick up a new watch………………….
