For a very long time I’ve thought about getting my own website.  I’m tired of other companies telling me how much space I can use for my emails.  I think with my own URL, I can get a large email hosting account.  That would give me a lot more control over what I do with my emails! 

Also I’ve had trouble with some email providers putting lots of advertising on the page – so much so that I hardly have room to read my mail!  And I don’t like how some of them automatically empty different folders after a certain date no matter what you do.

I’m also frustrated that so many worms, trojans, viruses, phishing and spam mails that I get on the other accounts.  I think if I had my own domain name and my own unique email using that domain name that I’d get a lot less junk mail and malevolent stuff coming into my inbox!

Can you tell I’m a control freak?  What do you think?  Do you have your own website with your own email through it?  I’m not talking about a business website, I mean one of your own.  With an email account through a business, I think that the system administrator has complete access to your emails – there is no privacy there at all!  And I like the idea of having a web based account so that my computer doesn’t fill up with emails!
