Isn’t it great how the Internet can bring virtually anything from anywhere right to our finger tips. I enjoy browsing web sites from other countries, but as you well know some times it can be a challenge when the words are in another language. That’s when a good translator certainly would come in handy and there are some good sites that offer translation services, which is pretty cool if you ask me. I’ve tried a variety of them and have found some to be better than others, some are pretty worthless as well.

I’ve had a few friends that translate for a living. I’ve often thought what a cool job that must be. Too bad I didn’t take any foreign languages in school. It really is an asset to be able to speak another language, especially Spanish since we seem to have more and more Hispanics around us in our daily lives. It would come in handy in so many ways to be able to communicate with these folks.

There doesn’t seem to be enough English lessons available to these people in order for them to be proficient in our language, but there are many ways to learn Spanish. Maybe one day I’ll go back to school and learn Spanish, that would be nice.

Once in a while my mother will send me an email with a picture or a joke that I really enjoy and feel like sharing here on my blog. With Christmas just right around the corner and the economy in such a mess, there are a lot of folks that aren’t in the Christmas spirit and I thought this picture was perfect for the occasion and right on the money!

There is no good time to find out that someone that you love and care about is having addiction problems, but right around the holidays has to be the worst time. My girlfriend just received an email from one of her friends that she has known since grade school, informing her that she has decided to enter a Residential Drug Rehab right after Christmas. This has thrown my girlfriend for a loop, she didn’t even know that her friend had a drug and alcohol problem.

Alcohol Rehab and Drug Detox is being looked at much different these days. Dr. Drew with his “Celebrity Rehab” television series has brought much needed attention to this problem and more people are turning for help due to his hard work with the celebrities that allowed their addiction problems to be televised, which is a good and positive thing that has come out of this reality show.

A good Tennessee Drug Rehab is in order for this young lady. She is looking online for more information in order to make a good choice in treatment centers in her area and has promised that she will keep us in the loop and let us know how things turn out. What a great way to start the New Year, clean and sober, kudos to her for making this important decision and we can only hope for the best for her.

My girlfriend has been hinting that she would love to get a puppy for Christmas. I have to tell you that I’m just not thrilled with the idea of bringing an animal into the place. We are both so busy with work and all that life dishes out to us, I just don’t see us having the time or the patience to train and raise a puppy at this point and time. Besides having to take a puppy out to do their business in the cold isn’t my idea of fun!
