If there is one thing I really like, it is “one stop shopping.” I don’t like wasting a lot of time running around trying to find the items that I want and need. If I can find ONE location to get what I want, and feel comfortable that I am getting what I need at a good (or at least fair) price, then I will turn to that location time and time again. That’s why I like places like the acheapseat.com website.
That website is the “one stop shopping” location to go to for just about any kind of entertainment you want or need. It’s easy to get tickets for places such as the Mohegan Sun Arena Tickets, the Toyota Center Tickets, or the Ohio State Buckeyes Football Tickets (just to name a few!) Whether it is concerts, sports, or theater, that is the first place to check for the tickets you want.

After I was reading my email today, the computer automatically goes to a site where there are articles of interest. I like “weird news” and an article caught my eye about a man who has been arrested for possessing child pornography on his computer. He is trying to blame his cat! He says that he would leave the computer unattended and when he would return he would find strange things downloaded!
My goodness gracious, if that happened to me, I think I would delete those “strange things” that the cat had downloaded!
Play him off, keyboard cat!

High tech versus low tech
Filed under: Business and Office, Entertainment and Fun, General Life, Shopping, Technology, Travel;Comments OffI find trade shows to be very interesting, don’t you? I enjoy going to trade shows; I like looking at all of the different trade show exhibits. There is a marked difference between going to local trade shows in small towns and cities compared to trade shows in the large urban populations. The larger trade shows often tend go very upscale with the trade show exhibit efforts.
Frequently the exhibits actually look like a small store in itself, with very sophisticated displays and high-end counters and stagings. I find it quite amazing how high-tech these things can go! And it is quite a culture shock when you go from one of the more sophisticated trade shows one weekend to a smaller local trade show the next. The attempts to make “homegrown” displays can be remarkably resourceful, but often leaves much to be desired. I think that if a vendor wants to be taken seriously, a professional display is worth the extra effort and investment.

I must be getting at least six calls everyday from some solicitor trying to get me to refinance my mortgage through their company. These pests are very insistent, and continue to badger me even after I ask them to put me on their “do not call” list. One of the more aggravating things about this is that the caller is invariably someone from India who claims to have the first name of an “American” like “Sam” or “Amy.” I know darn well that they are not “Sam” or “Amy.” I’ve gotten to the point now where I look at the caller ID before I answer the phone, and if I don’t recognize the caller I don’t answer the phone. I’m getting really tired of this. Are you getting this kind of treatment too?
