Today is a rainy day, so Teri and I are going to be going through our closets to figure out what clothes we need to replace for the upcoming fall and winter.  We’re going to be checking for clothes that are torn and put them in the mend pile, and try on things to make sure they still fit.  I’m not too crazy about the idea because that is going to take a lot of time!  Teri suggested that we do this today because it IS a rainy day, and she wants to get ready to start her cool weather clothes shopping.

But, it does need to be done, and Teri has suggested that she might make it like a fashion show of her trying on some of her most sensuous outfits and serve up some wine and play some upbeat music.  That should make it less mundane, that’s for sure!

A good friend of Teri’s gave us a couple of jars of home grown green beans from her garden a couple of days ago.  Some of the jars were from last summer’s crop, and a couple from this summer’s crop.  I was tickled to pieces – I LOVE green beans!  So last night at for supper we opened a jar and warmed them up and ate them for supper.  I thought they were delicious!   Teri told me not to get any ideas into my head about growing our own and canning our own – she says canning is way too much work for her!
