Teri and I have been keeping an eye on bank CD rates over the past couple of weeks.  We’re expecting to have a little bit of money that we want to invest short term, and we think that bank CDs are one of the best ways to do that.  You can get good CD rates on CDs for as short a period of time as three or four months.  They usually pay better than savings accounts or interest bearing checking accounts.

Teri says she has found a website that tracks the best CD rates nationwide.  It also tracks bank rates for other accounts such as money market and interest bearing checking accounts.  I took a look at the website and found that it does cover several of the nation’s states, but not all of them.  I wonder why it doesn’t cover all of them!

I can’t believe that July is over and August is here already! Where is summer going? The days are already getting noticeably shorter, and the back to school sales are starting! I’m not ready to even think about autumn and winter yet. This summer has been milder than most, so I’m not tired of it! I love being able to leave the house and go for a walk or go to the car and not have to put on or take off any clothing! I love the relaxed feeling of summer. Maybe I should move to a tropical island where it is summer all year round!
