I really like using ceiling fans in the summer. They significantly increase the comfort level, and add a touch of class to almost any room. A couple of months ago Teri and I put a few ceiling fans throughout the house; we think that the investment is a wise one because it will make the house more comfortable and lower our electric bill.

We put a couple of really great Casablanca ceiling fans on our patio. The fan we bought can be used in damp and/or wet locations, so it was perfect for our patio. That should make the patio a lot more comfortable for us while we socialize, eat dinner, or just relax out there.

And we put two nice looking Craftmade fans in the recreation room in the basement. It’s important to keep air moving in the basement, and the rec room sure needed it! I’ve added lights kit to add much needed lighting to the room as well.

We had heard that Hunter ceiling fans had the best reputation for being the quietest fans, so we put one of them in the living room. Now we can have quiet conversation or watch television without having to try to drown out the noise of a fan.

Teri’s sister loves cats, so when I saw this video today on youtube I just had to show it to her!  It is even funnier to us because when we go to fairs and festivals one of the games we like to play is “whack a mole.”  These kittens are so cute!  I hope you enjoy the video too!

I have been hearing about how so many people are having troubles getting their homes refinanced, and credit cards being cancelled because they have bad credit.  It’s really a sad story, because most of these people have been diligent in paying their bills but are suddenly jobless because of downsizing or because of some kind of accident.

This problem has even hit some of my own family members!  One of my uncles was injured in a bad car accident and hasn’t been able to work for over a year.  So far he has not been able to get any money from any insurance company, not getting sick pay or disability.  He has received no sympathy from any of his creditors, and now he has bad credit.  He’s been trying to get some help with credit repair so that he can refinance his house, but so far his attempts to repair credit have not amounted to much.  He has contacted the credit bureaus for copies of his credit report, thinking that he could fix credit problems with them.  And to be honest, he HAS found some errors that he needs to fix!  So maybe that will help!
