Teri’s old college roomie Sarah called this morning to invite us to join her (and Jackie and Melissa) at a college roomie reunion vacation. The reunion is to include husbands and significant others, so it won’t just be a “girlie” vacation. I think that they feel that if the other halves are invited too, there will be less sqawking and more cooperation. They have picked out an Oceanfront North Myrtle Beach Resort as the vacation destination for the reunion. They’ve been looking at various North Myrtle Beach Resorts and have narrowed the search down to a few different choices.
They want Teri and I to help them decide which North Myrtle Beach Resort to use. I told Teri that any one of them is fine, as long as they are condominium type suites so we can double up and share. It would be good to be able to book a couple of suites and each suite holds two couples.

Is it true?
Filed under: Computers and/or Internet, Education, Entertainment and Fun, Friends and/or Family, General Life, Health, News;Comments OffOne day last week I was driving to work and was listening to the morning show of my favorite radio station. I was interested to hear the announcer tell us the interesting tidbit of the day; the smell of crayons lowers blood pressure. Well, I had never heard that before! My father suffers from high blood pressure, so I was very intrigued to learn more.
I have spent about the last 20 minutes on the Internet, using different search engines, trying to find some reference to “proof” that the smell of crayons reduces blood pressure, and I’m sorry to say that I can’t find any. So, if you know of “proof” on the Internet (not just some blog) please let me know!

Flocking to the big cities
Filed under: Business and Office, General Life;Comments OffIn times of economic troubles, the masses tend to flock to the big cities, looking for jobs. New York jobs are no exception. Simply because there are so many people already there, a demand for service related work can be obtained without too much difficulty. What concerns me, however, about so many people flocking to the big cities looking for work is the nagging question “where will all of these people be able to afford to live in the big city?” Real Estate is always scarce in the big cities. Are these people that are looking for work in the cities going to end up living in the slum areas because affordable housing doesn’t exist?
