Yesterday Teri went outside with a wicker basket and filled it with flowers that she picked from her flower garden.  She decorated it with ribbons and brought it into the house and put it on the kitchen counter.  She did a really great job, arranging the flowers!  She makes a point of doing that every May Day.  She said that it is a rite of spring that her family used to celebrate with parties and flowers.  I think it would be nice to celebrate May Day that way on a larger scale.
