I was watching a video today about how there are GPS units for sale to help pet owners keep track of their pets. I think that is a great idea, but when I watched the video the transmitter on the dog’s collar was simply too large and cumbersome (in my mind) for it to be practical on most dogs. I think that it is a great “start” and would like to see the receivers become much smaller. It seems to me that I’ve heard about GPS transmitters being used to track children and other people, but I don’t know how large those transmitters are.
