I’ve been thinking that with so many companies downsizing, there are going to be a lot of people who are going to be needing some extra cash to get them through these tough times.  Some people are going to have to downsize their homes and their cars to lower their monthly financial outflow.  Before it reaches that point, I think that it would be a good idea for people to start paring down the excess “stuff” that they have been storing for years in their basements, attics, garages, and closets.  Some people have so much excess “stuff” that they actually rent out monthly self-storage units because they have run out of room at home!
