My view on the world, as seen from whatever vehicle I’m in!

I can’t help but notice that there are a lot of people who jog.  Every time I go out somewhere, and I’m driving along, I pass someone who is jogging.  I can’t even begin to imagine the damage that they are doing to their bodies; I consider jogging to be a high impact exercise.  Shin splints are just the beginning!  For me, even walking for a long time will give me shin splints, even if I’m not power walking!

I understand that it is important to exercise, but when I exercise, I want it to be low-impact exercise.  I find doing things like running, skipping rope, doing jumping jacks, etc to actually be painful and jarring.  I have read articles in the past that have led me to believe that high-impact exercise does do physical damage to the various joints in the body.

So I would be much more interested in the low-impact exercise like yoga or the type that is only achieved by exercising in water.  Doing Aquatic therapy types of exercise in Hydrotherapy pools comes to mind when I think of that kind of activity.  I’d like to look into putting an addition onto the house and buying a Swim spa to install in the addition.  Off to the side of the pool I’d probably like to put in a few low-impact exercise machines, and maybe a small sauna as well.

I imagine if we did that, we’d have a lot more company coming over to visit us and use the spa and the sauna!

I noticed on the Time.com website today a featured comment in the “quote of the day” that a playwright named Hubsi Kramar was talking about a play he had written that is a comedy based on the real life story of the Hungarian man who kidnapped and raped his daughter. When I saw that brief comment and attached explanation I was really shocked! I was shocked because I just can’t see how in the world anyone can see humor in that situation! Normally I am a person who can see humor in almost any situation, but kidnapping and rape?  C’mon now! Can someone explain that to me please?
