As I was saying in my previous post, repealing the Blue Laws in respect to alcohol on Sunday is something that several states are considering doing.  Personally I think that doing something like that might actually lead to an increase in alcoholism.  Having alcoholics in my own family circle, I’m not real crazy about the idea of the stores increasing their enabling role.

There has been recent research about how the different genders respond to alcohol and drugs, and how effective the different types of drug rehabilitation work better for some people than others. I didn’t realize until recently that there are special alcohol treatment centers geared specifically for the needs of women.  I found out about that when my mother called me and told me that my Aunt Marcia has decided to look into going into the treatment program at the Orchid Recover Center in Florida.  I think that’s great news, her alcohol addiction has been ruining her life for several years now.
