Picky eater
Comments OffTeri’s niece came over last Friday night and spent the weekend with us. She’s a thirteen year old who is very introverted; it is hard to get her to talk to you! I tried to strike up conversations with her several times, but it was obvious that she wasn’t interested in talking. I have to say that I just kept on trying, all weekend long. I didn’t want her to feel as if we didn’t care, so I just kept plugging along.
It was sad to see what a picky eater she is. There are a few things that she will eat, and only if she is “in the mood” to eat. I think that this girl is heading for some serious health issues down the road if she doesn’t start to relax on her standards of food. She complained of a headache yesterday morning and when I asked her when was the last time she ate, she told me (it was over 16 hours!) and I suggested that she had a “hunger headache” and that she should try eating something. But she refused to eat anything, saying she never gets hunger headaches and she didn’t want to eat. So I left her alone. I hope she outgrows this, for her own sake!
