Teri’s niece came over last Friday night and spent the weekend with us. She’s a thirteen year old who is very introverted; it is hard to get her to talk to you! I tried to strike up conversations with her several times, but it was obvious that she wasn’t interested in talking. I have to say that I just kept on trying, all weekend long. I didn’t want her to feel as if we didn’t care, so I just kept plugging along.
It was sad to see what a picky eater she is. There are a few things that she will eat, and only if she is “in the mood” to eat. I think that this girl is heading for some serious health issues down the road if she doesn’t start to relax on her standards of food. She complained of a headache yesterday morning and when I asked her when was the last time she ate, she told me (it was over 16 hours!) and I suggested that she had a “hunger headache” and that she should try eating something. But she refused to eat anything, saying she never gets hunger headaches and she didn’t want to eat. So I left her alone. I hope she outgrows this, for her own sake!

I like to buy wholesale whenever I can. That’s one reason why I have joined several wholesale clubs near where I live. Buying wholesale can save a lot of money. There are wholesale dealers that sell wholesale products over the Internet as well. That makes it really convenient to buy wholesale products that you might not find at the local wholesale club outlet.
Teri has found a website called Apparel Showroom that she likes to use to order clothing wholesale for herself and her friends. She has several friends with similar tastes, and they wear the same size clothes, so it makes a lot of sense for them to buy wholesale clothing if they find something that they all like.

I was just reading on the Time.com website a story about how hugging is gaining in popularity; replacing the traditional handshake. The story goes on to describe several different types of hugs, and it also gives anecdotal information about how the new First Family tends to hug people. The article brought to mind past television news coverage about meetings between the past President Bush and some people from foreign countries where the custom is to kiss on the cheek, and to hold hands. I had to laugh when I remembered seeing how uncomfortable the past President was in those situations! It will be interesting to see how our current President reacts in those same situations.
