My mother has a couple of Siamese cats.  They are her “babies” now that all of her kids have grown and moved out of the house.  She bought them about three years ago, and they are great company for her.  I just wish she would stop letting them eat ice cream!  She takes them to the vet and he says that their teeth are bad and she wonders why!  I keep telling her that they should not eat any people food at all, but it’s like talking to a brick wall!  Now I know I come by my stubbornness honestly!

I keep warning her that if she doesn’t take better care of her cats that they are going to end up with diabetes!  I’ve been learning about that from a website dedicated to sharing information about dogs and cats; not just Pet Health but also specifics about the different breeds of dogs and cats.  I’ve found it to be a good resource for whenever my mother calls me and says she is worried about this thing or that thing with one of her cats.  I try to find out whatever I can about it so I can talk to her intelligently about it.

It really is quite aggravating how quickly and extremely the gas prices change! One day it’s $1.49, the next day it’s $1.63! I really get discouraged, trying to figure when the best time to buy gas will be. I don’t want to run out, obviously, but I usually have a couple of days “play” where I could buy gas just as easily on one day as the other. I wish I had some way to know which day will be cheaper! It’s very annoying to buy it at one price and fill the tank and then the very next day see it came down a lot!
