One of the most important parts of running a successful business is getting the customer’s attention.  There are many ways to do that; some of which include advertising on television, radio, printed media, and the Internet.  On a more local level, customized signs and banners, custom license plates, car magnets, bumper stickers are also good ways to get the customer’s attention.  I was just having some fun checking out the various custom bumper stickers that were displayed as samples on the buildasign.com website.  I think that bumper stickers are a fun way to make a point.  While I was on the website I was also noticing that the website has a lot of different methods to help one promote a business, or a cause.  They also sell banners, flags, neon signs, magnetics, vinyl lettering, vinyl decals, and a wide variety of different types of signs.

I was just reading on the msnbc news website, under the weird news category that one of the White House trees is supposed to have about 370 hand decorated ornaments on it.  The ornaments were done by artists from around the country.  One of the submitted decorated ornaments has been rejected by the White House because it was saluting the impeachment resolution submitted by Rep. Jim McDermott who was trying to get President Bush impeached.  I am amazed at the total lack of taste that the artist showed by even submitting such an ornament!  I’m not a big fan of the decisions that President Bush has made, but I think that he does deserve more respect than that!  I am totally shocked that any artist would even think to submit such a tasteless ornament!  Amazing.

Teri tells me that it is time to buy some new mattresses for the twin beds in the spare room.  I don’t know very much about these beds except that they used to belong to her grandmother, and were handed down to Teri’s mother, and then handed down to Teri.  Teri tells me that these two beds are bedstead beds.  I thought that was a brand name, not a bed type!  I didn’t realize that there are different types of beds – divan and bedstead.

Teri wants to buy some luxury bedstead mattresses from the rest-assured.co.uk website.  She says that they have a large selection of luxury mattresses, and one thing we don’t want to skimp on is a good night’s rest!

Sometimes I don’t sleep well at night. I just lie there, awake, trying to fall asleep. Nothing particular on my mind, I just can’t sleep! Even if I get up and take a sleeping aid pill. That makes me drowsy, but still sometimes I can’t sleep. Last night was such a night. I hate nights like that because the next day is really hard to concentrate on things that need to be done, and usually two days later I come down with a major cold. So I need to make extra sure to take super care to dress warmly and eat well, but I think it may be too late already – I think the sleepless night is just a symptom of the cold that is coming no matter what I do now. Not looking forward to that!  I do have to say, however, that I have had good luck using the product Zicam that helps to reduce cold symptoms and shorten colds.  I use the oral mist version – the other versions are difficult for my body to handle.  The lozenges actually give me a chemical burn on my tongue, and the nasal spray hurts my sinuses like you would not believe!  So I’ll make sure to pick some oral mist up today while I’m in town!
