Free bookmarks
Comments OffAs I was sitting here reading my emails, and researching “stuff” on the Internet, I used the last facial tissue from the box beside the computer. Realizing that it was the last one, I took the box and tore it down to put in the trash. I was quite surprised to see that the brand of tissue we were using no longer has that little square “points” thing that we always cut out and give to our local school. I don’t know WHAT the school actually does with all of the points, but I’ve noticed them on boxes of cereal, and tissues, and a lot of other products that we buy. Anyway, I was disappointed to realize that this particular brand of tissues no longer supports that program.
As I went and got a new box of tissues and opened it, Teri saw me getting ready to throw away the cardboard insert that you tear out to access the tissues. She called out “don’t throw that away!” Startled, I paused in my tracks and said “why not?” Her reply was “I use those for bookmarks!” She showed me where to put the “bookmark” and now I know where to put those “bookmarks” in the future. Sometimes I have to marvel at Teri’s inventiveness – I never would have thought to use those as bookmarks, but they are the most perfect bookmark you could ever want, and they are free! And we are keeping more stuff out of the landfill, which is good for the environment! Good job Teri!
