If you are deeply interested in the music scene, a great website to check out is the singersroom.com website.  That website is dedicated to showing videos, publishing interviews and reviews, and photographs of music artists.  (Both signed and unsigned.)

Teri was showing me a couple of music videos that she found on the website that were really pretty good.  Now I have to admit to you that even though I listen to music on the radio, I don’t usually go out and buy any of the CDs, or watch the videos.  I’m just too busy when I get home to entertain myself in that manner.  If I had the time, I certainly would, but I just don’t have the time.

My favorite kind of music videos are the kind that show the story of the song, not just a video of the musician (or group) up on stage playing the song in a concert type of setting, or standing in a recording studio.  I don’t think those have much “soul” to them.  I want to see a “mini movie” of what the song is saying.  If you are interested in the music scene, this website is jam packed with content that you are going to enjoy seeing!

I was reading an article on Time.com this morning about how there are hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens living in the United States that have been ordered to leave the country but are still here. That really surprised me because I had not realized that so many deportation orders were expected to be followed on the “honor system.”

If I was an illegal alien that wanted to stay here and was told to leave the country but was not physically put on a plane back to my country I don’t think I’d be leaving on the “honor system.” I’d do my best to stay here as long as possible! And that is exactly what all of these folks have been doing, too. Staying here as long as possible, trying to stay “under the radar” and live their lives. I don’t claim to know what the “answer” to the illegal alien problem is, but I acknowledge that it IS a problem. I sure hope that Mr. Obama can find the best solution when he takes office!  I know that is not his TOP priority, but it is one of the many problems that this country needs to fix.
