Protein
Comments OffI have tried very hard to listen to many of the nutrition experts regarding healthy eating and try very hard to follow a healthy lifestyle. Having said that, I find that it is difficult to find good breakfast foods that are healthy and don’t leave me hungry a short while later. I don’t understand it at all – the experts say that a good bowl of fiber rich cereal should keep me “full” for hours and yet I always find that within forty five minutes of having had a bowl of fiber rich cereal I am hungry again and need to have a snack.
Unfortunately, by then I’m usually not at a location where I can reach for something healthy to eat. The only time I can go for a longer period of time after breakfast without eating is if I eat something that is high in protein. I’ve been doing a little bit of research about increasing the amount of protein in my diet, and how to fit it into my busy schedule. I’ve found a website called energyfirst.com that sells a good quality whey protein powder and protein shakes that would be easy to incorporate into my busy life. The powder comes in vanilla and chocolate flavors and dissolves instantly in water. I think I’ll order a bottle of the vanilla flavor and add it to my breakfast routine, see if it helps keep me full longer!
