When I think about electing a president, or any member of government, I think about it as if I was hiring someone to work for me. I don’t want to be hiring anyone based on “coolness” I want to hire them based on their qualifications. Can they get the job done? With that in mind, I like to get certified experts to do whatever work I need done.
What is a certified expert? In the business world, it is someone who is licensed in the state in which they do business in, and is in good standing with the Better Business Bureau. A good place to find certified experts for a large variety of businesses all over the country such as massage therapists in Austin, Realtors in Albuquerque, contractors in Boston, home and office services in Atlanta, florists in Raleigh and moving companies in Seatlle is the clicksmart.com website. They have an easy to use intuitive website that will help you find Albuquerque Realtors just as quickly as you can find Austin massage therapists.

I was reading an item on the Time.com website written by Joe Stein titled “Can Obama overcome the Urkel effect?” I found the article to be on the amusing side because it seemed to imply that Barack Obama is a nerd, and that nerds cannot run a country like the USA. I don’t think the Barack Obama is a nerd. He may not be “cool” but he’s definitely not a “nerd.” And even if he WAS a nerd, so what? How does “coolness” or “nerdness” even fit into the equation of being the President of the US?
What a strange thing to even bring into question!

Dental care
Filed under: Computers and/or Internet, Education, Friends and/or Family, General Life, Health, Shopping, Technology;Comments OffMy last trip to the dentist included a lecture from the dentist about Teri’s need to take better care of her teeth! The dentist said that I take great care of my teeth, but strongly urged me to buy some dental hygiene products like electric toothbrushes and oral irrigators to put in our bathroom, in the hopes that Teri would use them. He told me that she is showing some signs of gingivitis and we really need to nip them in the bud. He feels that these products would be of great benefit to improve her dental health.
The smilewarehouse.com website has a large selection of dental hygiene products, so I have been looking at their website to see what products they have to fit the doctor’s recommendation for Teri. I was surprised to see their large selection of dental care products – they even have dental care for dogs for sale! Their prices are reasonable, and they offer a 5% low price guarantee.
I’ve always suffered from dry mouth, and was surprised to see that they sell a few products to address people who have dry mouth; I guess I’ll be trying their dry mouth gel and dry mouth mouthwash and see if it helps any.

Teri tried to go out and vote first thing this morning, and came home upset and discouraged. She said that she couldn’t find any parking spaces for the car and that the lines were terribly long. She finally found a spot to park the car but a police officer told her she couldn’t park there and had to move the car, so she came home. I TOLD her to do early absentee voting a few days ago, but she wouldn’t listen to me and now she says she wishes she had absentee voted with me when I went.
She says she’ll go back in after a few hours, hoping that the crowds will die down after the business work day begins and most of the voters are at work.

Making ends meet
Filed under: Business and Office, Computers and/or Internet, Education, General Life, Money, Shopping, Technology;Comments OffWith the costs of living continuously increasing, and unemployment on the rise, the American consumer is struggling harder every day to make ends meet. Many of them are resorting to using the credit cards to give them some “float” to pay for the basic necessities; their utilities, insurance, fuel, and food. And because of the American culture being so strongly tilted towards “immediate gratification” the American consumer has a tendency to use their credit cards to buy more expensive luxury items that they want NOW instead of disciplining themselves to save for the items and buy those items later. Before long they find themselves drowning in debt and unable to keep up with their credit obligations.
That’s where debt consolidation needs to be considered as an option to help the consumer to dig themselves out of the gaping hole of debt that they have put them selves in. The bills.com website offers the debt-ridden consumer good advice and tips on bankruptcy, loans, and debt consolidation options that all should be considered when seriously looking at ways to handle the overwhelming debt load. The website has a wizard on it that you can use to plug in your own income and debt and your spending habits and it will tell you how financially fit you are and offer advice on how to improve your own financial well being.
