My view on the world, as seen from whatever vehicle I’m in!

Well, the political race certainly is in high gear now!  We’re getting several phone calls every day (and night) from both political parties, asking for our support, inviting us to rallies, and just those stupid robocalls that warn us that the sky will fall if we vote for the “opposing party.”

We will be so glad when the election is over!  We are planning on trying to go to vote early (tomorrow afternoon if possible) to avoid the long lines we are expecting on election day.  I hope we can get in without any problems tomorrow!

I suspect that the Internet is more successful than even the initial “dreamers” that came up with the idea even imagined.  I can remember a time when personal computers did not even exist, let alone the Internet!  Okay, now I’m showing my age aren’t I?  Well, I was just a young whippersnapper back then, but I do remember when my father brought our first family personal computer home, and my sitting on his lap while he played and worked on it!  Now the personal computer, and the Internet are such integral parts of our lives; it is hard to imagine life without either one of them!

I’ve found a great website that discusses a slew of website issues that is well worth checking out.  It is called webhostingratings.com.  I’ve been reading some of the web hosting articles on the website and found the ones about website security most interesting.  The site has a link to discussions about cheap website hosting that talks about the pros and cons of cheap hosts, which is an important thing to consider when picking a host for a website.  And they have a page of webhost ratings where they rank and rate what they consider to be the best website hosts.

All in all, if you are thinking about starting your own website, whether for a personal blog, or for a business, this website is worth a read.
