Voter fraud
Comments OffI’ve been hearing a lot in the news over the past few days about reports of voter fraud. Some of it has to do with a controversy around an organization called Acorn, but some of it is about a guy who registered to vote fraudulently and then made a ton of money by tricking people into changing their registration to a Republican registration. He tricked them by telling them that they were signing a petition against something terrible – I don’t remember now what it was, I think it was against sexual predators or something like that. Anyway, this guy made a ton of money and now he’s in big trouble.
I was just reading an article about how some households are getting letters addressed to their pets, encouraging their pets to register to vote. And naturally the people in the household are upset about that, saying that they think it has something to do with voter fraud. Well it seems that in most cases that is happening because these people have put something in the pet’s name (like telephone service) when they should have put that “something” in their own name. So THAT is where the fraud is, with the people putting that “something” in their pet’s name in the first place. You should NOT be putting telephone service in your pet’s name for crying out loud!
