I was reading on the New York Times website’s technology page a story that claims that the communications giants like AT&T and Verizon will have a business slowdown next year as consumers focus on saving money.  The article forecasts that people will be having their landlines removed and rely solely on their cell phones for their telephone needs.

I think that cellphones are great tools to have, but I think it would be a mistake to give up landlines in favor of only cellphones.  I find way too many dead spots inside my own house to be comfortable giving up my landline!
