Rio Hope is a holistic approach addiction therapy center located in Cottonwood Arizona in the beautiful area known as Verde Valley. The center focuses on treating substance abuse such as alcohol addiction and drug addiction in a beautiful desert setting. Their core program consists of cognitive behavioral therapy is complemented by a variety of enhanced treatment opportunities. These treatments include acupuncture, yoga, art therapy, meditation, recreational and exercise therapy, equine assisted therapy and neurofeedback. The length of the program ranges from thirty to ninety days, and is flexible based on the individual needs of the client.
The facility is designed specifically for a sense of security and comfort. Adults are able to recover from the addictive behaviors and find peace of mind together. On site detox is available at the center. The protocol for the detoxification is designed to ensure the safe and comfortable return to sobriety.
As I mentioned before, the recovery center is holistically directed. The holistic approach to anything is to find the cause of a problem and treat the cause, not simply treat the symptoms.
The center takes most insurance plans, and helps to arrange for third party financing as well. Private transportation is available from any airport in the state.

Communications
Filed under: Business and Office, Computers and/or Internet, Education, General Life, Money, News, Technology; No CommentsI was reading on the New York Times website’s technology page a story that claims that the communications giants like AT&T and Verizon will have a business slowdown next year as consumers focus on saving money. The article forecasts that people will be having their landlines removed and rely solely on their cell phones for their telephone needs.
I think that cellphones are great tools to have, but I think it would be a mistake to give up landlines in favor of only cellphones. I find way too many dead spots inside my own house to be comfortable giving up my landline!

Teri and I have been talking about buying a few accent rugs for our place. I think that carpets and rugs help to warm up a place; especially in the cooler months. I especially like area rugs that can be moved around and changed out.
I found a really nice rug that I’d like to buy on the online store of the Abingdon Rug Outlet Company. The Abingdon Rug Outlet Company is a discount outlet store that sells major brands such as Karastan, Nourison, and Capel.
I was looking at their selection of rugs and found that I am drawn to their Transitional Accents styles of rugs. I think that they look fresh and fun and would add just the right touch to our rooms!

And why bother? I was reading on the Time.com website that a Lebanese man is trying to sue Israel for “stealing” Lebanese cuisine. The issue at hand apparently is hummus, falafel, and tabouleh. The reporter of the story went to several restauranteurs who live and do business in the old city of Jerusalem and asked them what they felt about the situation. Their response was “who cares?” And I agree. What in the world is the fuss all about? Who cares, and why bother? There are more important things going on in this world than who “own” the “rights” to claim a particular food!

A new way to buy homes
Filed under: Business and Office, Computers and/or Internet, Education, General Life, Investing, Real Estate, Shopping, Technology; No CommentsThe DrOdio website is a marvelous real estate site by a real estate company that specializes in the Maryland, DC, and Virginia Real Estate markets. I was looking at Virginia MLS listings recently in an effort to help a friend who wants to buy a home in the Northern Virginia area and found several homes listed by DrOdio. Being an inquisitive person, I naturally felt inclined to go check out their website. Their site is fresh and fun to explore. I was very impressed by how they incorporated a blog into their site and the blog has a very large list of articles about expert advice on a wide range of topics related to buying, selling, or renting a home.
They have several video tutorials on a variety of subjects as well as their blog, which I found to be very impressive too.
The DrOdio company has a different approach to selling real estate than most brokers that I’ve come to know. Most brokers want to control the process by picking out some homes for their clients to look at, and they like to drive them around to look at those few houses, hoping that they can talk their clients into buying one of those houses. DrOdio lets the clients to the preliminary research themselves and encourages them to check out the houses, and gives them the tools to do that.
