I was reading on the Time.com website this morning that China’s milk scandal has spread to involve twenty two companies out of the one hundred nine milk companies. These companies have been proven to be trading in melamine-tainted milk products. Melamine is the chemical that was put in pet food that was imported to the USA last year from China that killed so many pets.   Melamine, a toxic chemical, makes the food product appear to have more protein in it.

This time the melamine has been added to baby formula and milk, which has poisoned babies. This is a terrible scandal – China has exported milk to several countries (thank goodness not the USA.) I have to wonder what food products we have on our shelves though that have some Chinese milk in the ingredients? I find it abhorrent that anyone would add toxic ingredients to the food chain! I hope that the people responsible for this are severely punished!
