I sure am glad that I bought Teri a membership in AAA last year!  She just called me – she’s an hour away from home and has a flat tire.  We’ve called the AAA emergency road service phone number and they are on the way to change the tire for her.  This is the second time this year we’ve had to call them for road service – I think that a AAA membership is a really good investment!

The Brigade Quartermaster’s website sells a wide variety of Blackhawk Tactical Equipment and other military grade clothing and accessories.  I was just browsing their website and was very interested to see a DVD they are selling that teaches the viewer “the art of disarming.”  I think that would be a very interesting DVD to buy and watch; it would certainly help a person learn a little bit about self defense!   I also was interested in the DVD about bringing a gun to a knife fight.  I think that would be an interesting DVD to watch too!  So I just might order those DVDs.   I was enjoying looking through their bargain bunker and saw a cool camera that functions at 100′ below water and straps to your wrist!  I have a brother who is a real “gadget” collector, I think I’ll buy that for him for a Christmas gift – he’ll be thrilled to pieces!

I was reading the livescience.com/history website today and was fascinated to discover an article that claims that researchers have concluded that early man was hunted by birds! What a surprise that was – I can only imagine how horrible a life that must have been, to be afraid of large birds of prey flying around swooping down and carrying you off! I’m sure glad we don’t have to be afraid of that in today’s world!

Credit cards have become such a way of life here in the United States, if a business does not accept credit cards it won’t stay in business very long.  I use credit cards for every purchase I can possibly one for.  I hardly use cash anymore, and I rarely write a check.

Personal checks are becoming more risky for a business to accept, and having a credit card to use to pay for a purchase is a major convenience to a consumer.  One of the best ways for a business to get set up with a merchant account to accept credit cards is to set up an account with the Merchant Advisors through their website at onlinecheck.com.

I just wanted to note that I am frequently disappointed to run into racism on an almost daily basis.  I think that racism is based in fear and ignorance, and it really is a shame that it still runs rampant here in the United States.  Having said that, it seems to me that Caucasians are not the only racists here in the United States.  You don’t have to be white to be racist!  Many people that I’ve met are “people of color” who are obviously have racist attitudes of their own.  This is a very sad observation, but it is the truth.
