In my numerous travels around the country I have been fortunate to stay in a lot of wonderful hotels, and see a lot of great architecture.  I’ve always had an interest in architecture – I even took an architectural drafting course in school and toyed with the idea of becoming an architect.  So I’m always interested in seeing how things are designed and how everything falls into place.  In recent years I’ve noticed that more businesses are turning to decorative concrete in their designs.  Decorative concrete is beautiful, yet very functional.

I was reading an article about the Chevy Volt, planned for release in a couple of years.  It sounds like it might be something I would be interested in buying once it has been on the market for a couple of years and the bugs worked out of it.  The company claims it will get approximately 50 mpg, which is just about as good as you can expect from a car.  And the picture of the car shows it to be a fairly attractive vehicle, not a really ugly thing.  So I’ll be very interested to see how it actually turns out when it hits the market!
