Teri has spent quite a bit of time lately planning a big Halloween costume party she wants to hold at our house this fall.  She has been planning the menu, the decorations, and now she is focusing her attention on Halloween Costumes. She has asked me to take a look at the incostume.com website to help pick out a “Couples Costume” that we both would like so we can dress as a matching costume couple.  I like the Reno 911 costumes – I think that show is a riot, and I’d love to dress up as the Reno 911 cops!

Well, this has not started out as the best day I’ve ever had.  When I left the house this morning to go to work I discovered that a tree from my neighbor’s yard had fallen over and landed on my car.  It was a pretty big tree and it took a lot of work to remove it.  Before I removed the tree I had to take a lot of pictures of it, and called my insurance company.  I guess we are going to try to file a claim with the insurance company of my neighbor, under his homeowners insurance.  This is going to be messy – I’ve been asking him for months to have that tree removed, I could tell it was dead and rotten and was going to fall.  He’s been kind of a jerk about it though, and refused to remove it.  So now I guess he’s going to have to pay for the damages to my car!

Then I had to have my car towed to a body shop – it is pretty damaged!  And then I had to rent a car while my car is in the body shop.  So my day has been diverted quite a bit from my original plans!
