After my argument with Teri about her brother staying with us, I took a ride down to Borders. I went in and bought a book called “The dangers of drinking and how to avoid them.” The book explains about why people drink and why they do the crazy things they do after they drink. It refers to almost every situation you can think of - from relatives to friends to people we don’t even know. When I find the right moment I’m going to give this book to Teri for her read and consider giving to her brother.

I also think that I am going to insist that while Teri’s brother is staying with us I am going to insist that he get substance abuse counseling. I’ve seen what alcoholism does to families, and I am NOT going to go through that!
